As Jaune was shown around Midtown High, he saw many people looking at him. Peter felt a bit uncomfortable beside him since he was with someone that people were looking at and had a look of 'excitement.'
"S-So...I guess that is all there is to the school," said Peter. Ned was no longer with him since he decided to head to class.
"It is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Don't you have a pool? A gym or a training area?" said Jaune. He was comparing Midtown High with Beacon Academy, and that is a tough bar to top. He was studying at a Bonafide castle.
"I mean, if that is the type of school you are looking for, then that would only be available at private schools or a more well-known and highly funded school due to their sports field. Midtown High is not that well-known, and we are more focused on the science-y department," said Peter. He found that unfair. How are sports more important than a subject that helps develop the world?
"Really? For a world that cherishes the advancement of the people, why would sport be more highly funded? That doesn't make sense," said Jaune. It was foolish. For a world like Remnant, funding a school like Beacon and other Huntsman academies makes sense since they are the future protectors of the world. They would not waste their Lien to fund movies, so Remnant is lacking in the department.
"Y-Yeah...Huh?" said Peter. He noticed the wording of Jaune. He was about to say something, but he was interrupted.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't Penis Parker. Nice backpack. Did your aunt buy it for you? I guess it's the best you can afford," said a dark-skinned boy. He had a very mocking look in his eyes. It was clear that Peter did not have a backpack since he was holding all his stuff.
Peter gives a small, awkward smile, trying to brush off the comment.
"So? Who is the new douche in the douche brigade?" asked the dark-skinned guy. He was smirking at Peter, but the moment he looked at Jaune, it was different. He flinched. The guy was much more built than he was and was much taller.
Jaune looked at the guy and reminded him of Cardin. But unlike Cardin, the guy seems only to be all talk. He grabbed the top of the guy's head and lifted him to his eyes.
Now, the guy was struggling. He tried to get Jaune's hand out of his head, but the more he tried, the higher Jaune brought him until his feet were no longer on the ground. Many people are now looking at them.
"I don't know who you are, but I don't like bullies. I suggest you get lost and never show your face in my presence or suffer the consequences," said Jaune. He then squeezed his hand, which grabbed the guy's head, and got a loud squeal from him.
"Ah! I-I...I understand!" said the guy. Jaune then dropped him. He stood up and ran as fast as he could.
Peter was looking at Jaune. An ordinary person couldn't be able to lift another the way Jaune did. He stared at Jaune with his mouth agape. He realised that Jaune must be superhuman, but why he was in Midtown was still something he would have to figure out, especially if the guy were a threat.
'Oh my God! He knows my secret! What am I supposed to do?!' thought Peter. He was now internally panicking. Looking at Jaune, he was seriously thinking about what to do. Is confronting him about his intentions of coming to Midtown High a good idea? Or should he observe the guy and only confront him when he does something nefarious? Or should he inform Mr. Stark about his discovery?
Before Peter could think any further, Jaune dragged him as he was the guide. Now, he needed the guy to send him to the principal so he could get his timetable.
"Come on, I need you to guide me to the principal's office," said Jaune. He did not care about them finding out what he could do. He was not hiding it in the first place.
"H-How were you about to do that? I'm pretty sure that should not be possible outside of movies. I can do something similar, but that's because of...you know...Are you superhuman as well?" whispered Peter. He had so many questions but so little time. He would be late if he did not hurry to bring Jaune to the principal's office.
"Ha-ha-ha...That's easy for me to do. It wasn't even much or close to the extent of what I could do. It's not like I was hiding my strength either," replied Jaune. He chuckled at Peter's reaction to what he did.
Peter never would have thought he would meet a superhuman outside the Avengers. This was surreal and confusing for him since he did not know what to do. Jaune was doing nothing excessive, so he was indecisive about telling Tony and the Avengers about Jaune.
"Ah! By the way, you haven't shown me the school library. Does it have any books on advanced quantum mechanics? Or quantum physics and other similar books? If not, does it have anything on advanced genetic advancement?" asked Jaune. They were good books to read. He has made advancements in capsule healing, which he will create when he returns to Remnant. It would be beneficial since many Huntsmen and Huntresses retire due to injuries.
Jaune was not a delusional person. He knew well enough that one cannot just wipe out the existence of Grimm in a single night. This would cause unrest in the entire world. Not just because they would be wary about the sudden disappearance, but it would make the purpose of being a Huntsman moot, causing them to seek employment in many illegal ways.
"I...don't think we have any of those books in the school library. Those are too advanced to be useful for most students," said Peter.
"Hmm...Do you know where I can purchase such books? Money is no problem for me," said Jaune. He doesn't have a bank account at the moment since he hasn't gone around getting one. Thus, ordering online would be useless.
"Well, there is a bookstore that you could go to after school. They have a variety of books ranging from law to science. They might have what you need," said Peter.
"Good. You don't mind being my guide to this place later, right?" asked Jaune. He was polite, but that was not how Peter saw it.
"S-Sure," said Peter. He complied with Jaune since he was unsure how the guy would act when rejected.
"That's settled then. Come on, we are running out of time. Classes are about to start, and we still need to head to the principal's office," said Jaune.
Peter was doing his best to resist Jaune's pulling, but it was doing nothing. He didn't know how strong the guy was, but he was undoubtedly weaker.
As for Jaune, he was not even aware of Peter's resistance to his pulling. Since he was aware that Peter was not an average person, he might have let go of some of his mental restraints on his strength.
