Chapter 24

Jaune had only been back to Beacon with the others for less than ten minutes, but he had already got busy.

[Complete Recovery Herb], [Super Power Tomato], [Invincible Pumpkin], [Winter Radish of Wisdom], [Godspeed Potato], [Cucumber of Clarity], [Golden Onion of Endurance], [Jade Carrot of Healing], [Celestial Blueberry of Teleportation], [Ember Chili Pepper of Fire], [Sapphire Grape of Invisibility], [Eternal Avocado of Life].

They've all been planted in the [Dimensional Farm]. This made Jaune smile as he now has a crazy amount of [Complete Recovery Herb].

Jaune said, "They only give one stat point daily after a certain point. Still, one stat in each stat every day is amazing. Plus, they are delicious! Their regular counterpart no longer appeals to me and the others."

He added, "Good timing for the [Dimensional Farm]. Otherwise, we would have run out of ingredients. I wonder if I can have more variety in the future?"

Leaving the [Dimensional Farm], Jaune wanted to look for the others, but something was amiss. The atmosphere was changed. It was darker and more ominous. It was then that a roar was heard. It was so loud that the world was shaking. He ran outside to see what was happening, but no one reacted. Until Lei, Nora, Pyrrha, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, and Amber did.

With fear, Nora said, "Jaune, what was that? I felt like the world was shaking! But no one is reacting!"

Jaune shook his head, saying, "I don't know. Whatever it is, only the people that have been in the Dreamscape can perceive it."

Lei gave her opinion, saying, "That roar, it sounded like it was angry."

Pyrrha asked, "If only the people who have entered the Dreamscape can hear it, maybe it has something to do with it. That voice we are hearing, maybe we can ask it."

She looked at Jaune and added, "Only you seem able to communicate with it. We only hear it when leveling up and during our evolution."

Weiss interjected, saying, "She's right. If anyone can tell us anything about this, if it is connected to the Dreamscape, it would be the voice."

Jaune nodded and spoke to the voice, "Hey, do you know what that sound was?"

[Beep! It is the reason why I was created. To put a stop to the Beast]

Jaune asked, "What is it? How come only we can hear it?"

[Beep! Because only you people are strong enough to perceive it. It is called Beast of the Rift. It is about a hundred dimensions away from here. You have time to get stronger]

Jaune said, "Stronger...Wait! That Zombie Overlord III felt like it was forcing me to get stronger! Is that connected to you?"

He has yet to receive a reply. Whatever the Zombie was, the voice refused to answer.

Jaune clicked his teeth, saying, "Fine! If you don't want to tell me, then don't. But I need to know, why was I the one chosen? Why not someone else?"

[Beep! I do not know. I was not the one that chose you. My creator did]

Jaune was perplexed. He asked, "Who is your creator?"

[Beep! My creator has many names, but you can call him Sage]

Jaune was shocked, saying, "Sage! As in, the owner of my Supreme Magic Circuit?"

[Beep! Yes. He was also the one that created the [Absolute Spear], [Infinite Gauntlet], [Formless Bow], [Omni-Sword], and [Death Scythe]]

He remembered something and said, "The [Death Scythe], couldn't it kill that Beast of the Rift thing?"

[Beep! It can, but you would need to be strong enough to put a scratch on it. Otherwise, swinging the scythe at the Beast would do nothing as it would not be able to pierce its skin]
