~Remnant-II~
Amid the relentless battle, Tyrian and Qrow continued their coordinated attacks. Tyrian, however, was unexpectedly kicked away by Clover, leaving Qrow to confront Clover alone, who deftly dodged Qrow's sword strikes and managed to hook his weapon onto Qrow's sword, disarming him. With a quick jerk, Clover sent Qrow's sword flying into the ground.
Clover then moved back to avoid Tyrian's kick aimed at his legs. Tyrian activated his Semblance and swiped at Clover, who narrowly evaded the attack. In a swift move, Tyrian grabbed Clover's rod with his left hand while clawing at Clover's face with his right, who countered by swinging his rod at Tyrian, who deftly blocked and dodged. Then, Tyrian leaped towards Clover, using his arms as a platform to launch himself off and land a few feet away.
Tyrian sprinted towards Clover again, but this time, Clover used his fishing line to restrain Tyrian, binding his arms to his sides. Tyrian fell to the ground and glared at Clover while Qrow, having recovered, sprinted towards Clover. Tyrian anticipated this and grinned, knowing what was coming next. As Clover turned his attention towards Qrow, he was met with a devastating punch to the gut, which sent him tumbling across the ground, his Aura shattered.
Qrow, panting heavily, confronted Clover, his emotions raging. "Why couldn't you have chosen the right path instead of following orders?"
Clover placed a hand on his stomach, struggling to his feet as he looked at Qrow. "Sometimes, the right choice is the hardest to make. I trust James with my life." With effort, he got back on his feet. "I wanted to trust you."
Suddenly, Qrow's sword thrust forward, and Clover leaned back with a yelp of pain. Blood splattered onto the snow. It was Tyrian who had driven Harbinger through Clover's back.
Or, that's how it was meant to be. However, something unexpected happened. Out of nowhere, a door. A seemingly ordinary door appeared and blocked the blade strike. Even more impressive was that the Tyrian Callows started to disintegrate. Why? Because he had malicious intent when he hit the door with the Harbinger.
Qrow and Clover looked at the door with incredulity. They both had a single thought. 'Did that really happen? Or am I drunk? Where did that door even come from?'
They looked at one another for the answer, but they had none. Immediately, they became alert as the door was starting to open. Qrow ran to his sword while Clover readied his rod. They watched as the door opened to reveal...Jaune.
Qrow breathed a sigh of relief. "Kid, you scared the shit out of me."
Jaune looked at Qrow with a smile. "Bird brain."
Qrow raised an eyebrow. "You've never called me that before. You look different, and not because your hairstyle looks good..." he became alert. "Who are you?"
Jaune disappeared from his spot, reappeared behind Qrow, and touched his shoulder. "No need to be alert."
Qrow looked back and tried to swing his sword, but his hand became empty. Clover looked at his hands, and they, too, were empty.
Then Jaune spoke. "Looking for these?" he showed them their weapon and made them disappear before their eyes.
Qrow squeezed his fist and was ready to fight. "Who are you, and what do you want?"
Jaune smiled. "Relax, I'm not here for a fight. I am Jaune, but not of this world."
Clover, ever the clever one. "Does that mean the theory of the multiverse is real?"
Jaune nodded. "Yup! Although, this is the first time I've traveled to a different version of Remnant. Before this, I traveled to a completely new universe."
