Chapter 38

~I am Ganesha~

Standing among the lights of Orario, this thing was just plain weird. It was so out of place that it was almost mysterious. The building was a massive, thirty-meter, human-shaped statue with an elephant's head sitting cross-legged in the middle of the city block. A stone wall surrounded the base of the building.

The statue sat proudly, puffing out its chest. It was famous for inspiring a sense of wonder and uneasiness within anyone who saw it. Magic stone lamps lit up the statue from many angles. The elephant stood out against the black night sky.

Looking at the building, Jaune said, "Is this for real? This God certainly has a unique taste."

Hestia laughed awkwardly, saying, "I know he is quite the eccentric God; however, even for a God...this is quite...something."

Jaune said with a deadpan look, "Oh, and look. The entrance is the crotch. Brilliant!"

Once Jaune and Hestia arrived inside, they heard Ganesha say, "Everyone! Thank you for coming today! I am Ganesha! I am overjoyed at the attendance of this Celebration! I love you all! I have one small announcement. The yearly festival put on by my Familia is only three days away! Please encourage your Familia to attend!"

The interior of the building's great hall was sparsely adorned, in stark contrast to its extravagant exterior. Ganesha, adorned in an elephant mask and attire identical to his statue, welcomed his invitees with a resounding tone from atop a platform at the hall's center. However, the divine beings present largely disregarded his salutations and instead conversed among themselves.

Jaune said, "There is no one doubting he is Ganesha. The fricking building was designed after him and named after him."

In the great hall, tables with white tablecloths were set up for a standing buffet. The air was filled with various delicious smells emanating from the fresh food on display. Soft echoes could be heard as attendees and staff walked around in their shoes. Behind the stage, a band was ready to play dance music once given the signal.

One of the gods said, "Hey, isn't that Loli Big Boobs?"

Another said, "Wow, she's still alive?"

Then another, "I haven't seen her for the past month. I heard she got nine Familia members in one fell swoop and have been living in luxury."

The first God said, "That's our Loli Lady!"

Hestia looked around but did not mingle with the other gods or Goddesses. Being here made her feel out of place since she was not friends with any of them. Seeing the table full of food, she decided to have a test. However, the moment the food entered her mouth, it came back out.

Hestia said as she spat the food on a napkin, "This is...not great. It looks delicious, but it is lacking in terms of taste."

A Goddess approached Hestia saying, "Well, if it isn't Hestia. It's good to see you outside the mansion for once, finally. And you came in appropriate attire. You are quite beautiful in that dress."

With a smile, Hestia said, "Hephaestus! You're one to talk about being beautiful. You look amazing in the dress!"

Hephaestus was wearing a dark crimson dress. Her face was thin, with a sharp chin, showing her strong will. She was gorgeous, and her golden earrings could not compete with her sheer beauty.

Hephaestus said, "Compliments to Jaune for making it. I feel beautiful and safe in this dress."

She then looked at Jaune and added, "I can't believe you made something this amazing just for me. Thank you."
