~Remnant-II – Jaune POV~
After coming to this version of my world, I felt weird. It was so bleak that hope seemed to have faded. Only when I first met with Ruby and the others of this world did I feel a glimmer of hope in this world. But Ren, he had the least amount of hope. It was nearly fading. This was evidenced when he yelled that they were not ready to be a Huntsman and how the Jaune of this world is the most unready since he merely faked his way to Beacon.
Thankfully, the entire thing was solved by them. Ruby, her hope is fading as well, but she is the one who is clinging to the most. And when I gave them a way to bring back their loved ones, this speck of hope became an ocean. I felt elated when I saw this happen.
Now, a few issues are popping up in this world. One, the obvious, would be Salem. She is hellbent on destroying this world. Why? I don't have a clue, but my gut says something is wrong. Second, that would be the egg that should not be of this world. I need to find it, but looking at everyone, I can't just leave and not help them; that's not who I am.
Those are the two major issues. When it comes to minor things...well, compared to the others, they certainly are minor. We need to find a way to help feed the people. This is easy; I have a farm that has an almost unlimited amount of food. I have to ensure I don't feed them the special veggies that could give you eternal youth or super strength. The next issue is the heating that was shut off. Again, this is simple since I can use magic to create heating. After that, there is an issue with the wall that has been broken. Man, this place is just full of issues. Why was the repair of the wall not a priority?
Shaking my head, I headed to where the broken wall was. Seeing the giant hole, I assessed it as a piece of cake to repair. I do have the [Creation(Max)], which is a cheat when it comes to creating something and, in this case, repairing something. This gave me an idea, especially since it is simply an ordinary wall. What if I recycle the old wall and create an entirely new one? Wouldn't that be great? It would also have special abilities associated with it. Cool! Let's go with that. I touched the wall, and it completely disappeared.
Now, doing this, the Grimm started pouring in. However, I have something that can help in this situation. I've been wanting to try it out for a while. It was too bad that I didn't have a chance to use it in the dungeon of Orario. I used it, but it didn't work since monsters aren't necessarily evil or darkness. But the weird thing is, I received a massive amount of stat that day. Maybe the skill did kill something; it just wasn't in my line of sight.
I used the [Purification], and the Grimm started to disappear. As great as the skill is, it has its limits. One, it doesn't work for everything. Two, I can increase its horizontal distance, not vertical, which sucks since it would not be able to kill the Grimm in the air.
Anyway, back to repairing the walls. I was thinking of using ordinary materials. It should be enough since it would receive special abilities anyway. I mean, using something like Mithril or Adamantium would be a waste. That's too wasteful since Grimm are not that strong. If they had monsters from Orario, then I could consider using Mithril since they would need it.
While I was repairing the walls, I had a few visitors. One of the groups was this world's team Ruby and Friends. And the other was...what was it again?
Looking at the group, I asked. "Who are you again? Also, what was your question? I wasn't listening."
One of the girls in the group said as she panicked. "We are the Happy Huntresses. I asked, what are you doing?! Why did the wall suddenly disappear??!"
The girl who was panicking was quite cute. "Relax! I'm just upgrading the walls. Besides, I already killed all the Grimm in a hundred-mile radius. There won't be any Grimm for some time. Unless the Queen herself comes here with her army."
I saw Ruby pointing to the sky. "Uhm...About that..."
I looked at where she was pointing and saw a giant whale flying! Seriously?! "I think I should have kept my mouth shut."
I look at the Happy Huntresses. "Give me a moment, and I'll fix the walls."
I don't know their names. If they introduced themselves...my bad. I was not listening. I was busy thinking about the materials I wanted to make the new wall. One of the Happy Huntresses said. "How are you going to fix it! The entire thing is gone! W-We're all doomed!"
I sighed. I mean, I can't blame them. They don't know what I'm capable of. "Hey, don't you worry about it. Have some hope. Negativity would attract the Grimm above us. Just give me a moment. I'll build you a new awesome wall. This is easy for me."
Now, I saw the girl, and the others doubted me. I get it! Who can build an entire city wall in a moment? No one. This is why I understood her negativity. But I'll show her something awesome!
With a single thought, I used the previous wall as a template and started constructing a new wall. I ensured my wall was not with a hole in the middle. That would just be embarrassing.
Looking at the new wall, I was proud of it. I looked at the others, and their mouths were wide agape. It was hilarious. I took a bunch of photos. I took it and planned to tease the others with it. Hmm...Thinking about the others, I think I made the right call, not bringing them. But something tells me that bringing them here might have been the better choice. Not bringing them means shielding them from seeing such a dreary world. But if I brought them here, they might be able to help their counterpart and vice versa.
Facing the Happy Huntresses, I smiled at them. "See? Like I said, it would only take a moment. Now, you have a new and better wall. Let me tell you, this wall is awesome! In an absolute emergency, it can activate a barrier covering the entire city of Mantle. I bet the previous wall couldn't do that."
A Happy Huntress spoke. "How did you do that? First, no wall, then boom! There was a wall!"
I laughed at her antics. "Let's just say it's magic."
I saw her tilt her head in this cutesy way. "Like the Maidens? Are you a Maiden?"
This made my eye twitch. "You know there is a reason it's called a Maiden, right? Do I look like someone that fits the bill?"
The girl looked me over. "You can certainly fit the bill. I mean, look at that butt! There is no way that's the butt of a guy! It's so cute!"
I facepalmed. How can this be?! Me! Fit the bill for a Maiden! I was a noodle not long ago, but I had some masculinity...right? I'm sure I had some. Damn it! Is this because I grew up with seven sisters?! I caught some of their feminity! No! No! This can't be! I looked at the girl. "Surely, you are joking."
The girl had a puzzled look. "Am not! You have a cuter butt than May!"
While bickering with this girl, I noticed Ruby and the others whispering amongst themselves. I heard some of what they were saying. "Pfft! I can't believe Fiona said it! I was thinking the same! He is undoubtedly taller and sexier than our Jaune, but he did have some feminine wiles."
This statement hurt other me. "Hey! I may be shorter than him, but I have my own charm."
I laughed at this. Pyrrha then consoled him. "I couldn't agree more!"
When Pyrrha spoke, the Hppy Huntresses looked in her direction. "You...Are you Pyrrha Nikos?"
Well, this is going to be quite the hassle. She has been dead for two years. I heard her say. "No? I mean, no! I'm Pyra."
This can't possibly work, could it? I then heard. "What was I thinking? How could you be Pyrrha Nikos? She died during the fall of Beacon. It's been two years."
I sighed a breath of relief. I can't believe that work. I guess it's only logical since she was supposed to be dead for two years.
Wait? Did they say they were the Happy Huntresses? Weren't they the group of Robyn? The one that Qrow, Clover, and I forgot in the wreckage? Thankfully, nothing happened to her when we got back... What was I thinking? Right! Weren't they helping the ones helping the people of Mantle?
I said to them. "You said you were the Happy Huntresses?" they nodded. "Great! I was going to look for you! Ruby and the others said you were helping the people, and you needed supplies. I can help you with that. I can also solve your heating problems."
Of course, they were skeptical. But I'll show them what I'm capable of. I wonder how shocked they would be.
