Suit Up

Y/N was stood in shock for a moment before approaching the two children , he knelt down so he was on eye level with them.

"Hello...dad." both of the kids said as they looked weirded out by the fact that their father was actually alive.

"Hey...kids." Y/N said still processing the fact that he had children.

"Anna, David, can you two go to your rooms, there's some adult business that needs to happen." Amy said as she looked to Y/N with a worried look. "Where were you?"

"The RAFT, I was locked in a cell with a collar on." Y/N answered vaguely as Yelena handed Amy a note.

"Well, looks like you sure as shit still know how to piss people off. Guard patrols have been tripled in hopes of finding you." Amy said handing Y/N the note.

"Well, some gifts never leave. So, have any other Avengers managed to escape?"

"No, You, Me and Yelena are the only ones who managed to escape. Laura and the Barton kids are here, Morgan and Pepper escaped, other than them, the resistance is made up of former SHIELD operatives and civilians." Amy said as Y/N sighed.

"Does The Red Room have an endgame?" Y/N asked as Amy shrugged.

"To be honest we don't know, but we do know that they have the Avengers under some sort of mind control, like Dreykov's but amplified. We've been trying to get a sample so we can synthesize a counter-agent but every time we try, we fail." Yelena said as Y/N paused for a moment.

"Okay, let me get this straight, The Red Room has control of the entire planet, has control of the Avengers, and right now we have no way of actually defeating them?" Y/N said as he rubbed his hand over his face.

"Yeah."

"Fuck." Y/N said as he began to try and think of a combat strategy. "Give me a run down of things, how bad's New York?"

"That's been turned into a military city, like a base but on the scale of a city, no civilians are even allowed there." Yelena said.

"What about Belarus, what about where we are?"

"A prison country, with Minsk being walled off as the main area of the prison nation, the borders of the country walled off too, but Minsk has one way in and one way out." Yelena said as she pulled out a map with lines drawn around the country's borders to represent the wall surrounding Belarus. There was a second map of the city of Minsk, with an outline drawn in marker standing for the wall surrounding the city, but there was also different areas of the city, colored in with pens and a small key next to it.

Orange = Wall

Blue = Resistance

Red = Red Room Military Controlled zone

Green = political prisoners

Yellow = Criminals

Grey = Prison district

"Right, so we're stuck between the Red Room army, the prison district and the political prisoners with absolutely no way out." Y/N said as Amy cleared her throat.

"Well there is a way out but right now it's heavily guarded, our underground tunnels leading under the city wall were given up to the Red Room by a traitor, if we took them back we could get some backup in through the short window of time that will buy us."

"And we can get you all out." Y/N said calmly as Amy and the team looked at him. "I need people with access to tech, are there any countries that the Red Room don't have control of?"

"Yeah here. Map of the world, same as the other map, Red means Red Room and Blue means resistance."

"And purple?"

"No mans land, Red Room hasn't got it but the government won't help the Resistance." Yelena said as Y/N paused.

"Of course not, okay, head to Tasmania, if the resistance has a base there they're bound to have tech that can help us, I need you all there working on information, updates on global ops, everything, meanwhile I'll be finding out what the Red Room is up to here in Belarus." Y/N said as Amy paused for a moment.

"Ma'am, we got a transmission through some big meeting in the prison district." A resistance member said as Y/N looked to Amy.

"I need some equipment..."

"With me." Amy said as she led Y/N through the base to a small armory. There was a suit of combat armor on the wall behind a glass door.

"A bit advanced for a resistance isn't it?"

"Tony made it before he was captured. Said it was for you if you ever needed it."

"Hm, anything else he said." Y/N asked as he approached the suit.

"Yeah, he said the armor was keyed in to your DNA and has it's own AI installed."

"What's it called?"

"Ask her yourself."

"Hello Y/N, my name is HELEN. My purpose will be to provide you with relevant combat data and intel on missions. While you were detained at the RAFT I picked up as much intel as possible and found that the Red Room have repeatedly mentioned 'The Project'. They're apparently meeting to discuss this project in thirty minutes."

"Got it. I'll look into this project, Amy...you and the resistance head to friendly controlled land. It's time we took a step to bringing these people down." Y/N said as he suited up, donning the new armor and picking up a selection of gadgets.

"Y/N, if we go, there may be a chance we can't come back to help you."

"I know, trust me. I'll make it." Y/N said as he approached the base exit and grappled up onto a roof top ready to begin his hunt and war against the Red Room.

"Y/N, what about the Avengers?" HELEN said as Y/N paused.

"Set up a list, we're freeing them all."
