The New Hero

Y/N flew over the roof tops as he was watching Red Room guards making their way to their safety bunkers, executing anyone on sight, they were wearing new hazmat gear ready for the attack, prisoners were being shot against the walls as Y/N flew over the city that was beginning to crumble. He began his descent into the main courtyard in the prison district, landing perfectly and seeing a team of soldiers emerge with updated models of G36C rifles.

Before they had a chance to fire Y/Ns speed allowed him to take out three of them before using the butt of a guards rifle to break another soldiers jaw followed by firing a widows bite at the last guard. Y/N walked away from the scene and into the main part of the prison, his wings having retracted into his suit as he entered the main prison cell block for all of the enhanced prisoners that couldn't be controlled.

"Up here." Madame B called as Y/N looked up to see Peter Parker strapped into an electric chair as she was circled by the Red Room leaders.

"Stop Engine Failure, now." Y/N said, his voice unwavering as the mind controlled Avengers revealed themselves.

"Sure, once you play Lovanya's pretty little game, the rules are simple, each Avenger is wearing a monitor for their pulse, each time they give off a pulse a small shock will be sent through little Peter here, so either you kill them or he dies." Madame B explained as Y/N readied himself for a fight.

"You know I'm not going to kill them!" Y/N said as Lovanya revealed herself.

"Yes, you will, you will fight them until one of you are dead, you kill them, They kill you, neither and the spider dies. Either way someone is getting killed tonight." Lovanya said as Y/N saw the Avengers approaching with in seconds he was being thrown from pillar to post by his attackers, he couldn't bring himself to fight his own family.

He was beaten to the floor when he heard Peter scream out in pain and remembered something that him and Nat once had to do to save a target.

As Nat went to fire a widows bite at Y/N he grabbed her wrist and activated the stun mode on her bracer before she accidentally stunned Clint with the shot. Y/N grabbed one dose of the mind control antidote and injected Nat with it before using another on Clint.

Madame B was watching the display keenly as she saw something in Y/N shift, like he wasn't holding back. Y/N used one of Nat's stun batons to knock her out before using it to knock Clint out. Next Y/N singled Tony and Kate out, he ran at Kate and vaulted off her into the air, grabbing Tony and firing a widows bite into the suit causing it to momentarily short circuit, Y/N used the opportunity to hit the emergency eject and then dose Tony with the counter agent, as Kate fired an arrow at Y/N he brought out the wings and used them to block the attacks before retracting them and punching Kate in the stomach twice followed by swiftly administering the antidote and a widows bite.

Madame B applauded the display before pointing at the pulse monitors showing they were still on. Y/N simply smiled before activating the widows bites he had attached to the team all in one, stopping their hearts all at the same time. The monitors all showed the Avengers as dead. The Red Room leaders began to flee as Y/N used the same command to restart all of the Avengers hearts at the same time.

As Nat climber to her feet she saw Y/N with his previous encounters baring their marks in the form of injures and Tony recognized the suits gel layer, it was the injury suit, he was beginning to wonder why Y/N was wearing it though.

Before they had a chance to talk over it though Y/N fired his grapple and zoomed off after the Red Room leaders.

"HELEN, get me an update on The Red Room leaders locations!" Y/N said as he sprinted through the corridors, fighting through the onslaughts of guards that were being thrown at him, the Avengers meanwhile had freed Peter and were following directions from Wanda to the site of Project Engine Failure.

"Boss they're boarding a chopper on the roof!" HELEN's voice said as Y/N began once again sprinting through the prison corridors, fighting off enemy soldiers. When Y/N finally reached the roof he saw Madame B boarding the chopper and turning with a smile on her face.

"Congratulations on your first and only kills Y/N!" She said as she pressed the detonator for the engine failure bomb, only for nothing to happen. Y/N fired an anti vehicle round at the tail rotor, causing the chopper to crash land on the helipad where Y/N stood not flinching at the explosion. The chopper began to tip off the edge of the helipad and off the roof of the building. It gave way with the leaders of the Red Room inside and the pilot. Without a seconds thought Y/N jumped after it, using a grapple to rip the chopper door off before pulling the pilot out with a web and attaching him to the building, still falling Y/N webbed all of the Red Room leaders and then grappled to the edge of the building ascending back onto the roof where he restrained the Leaders of the Red Room.

Y/N walked up and took the pulse monitor from Madame B's pocket and showed her the screen.

"Never celebrate prematurely." Y/N said as he crushed the monitor. He grabbed a pistol from Lovanya and pointed it at Madame B, removing the safety.

"You won't do it." Dreykov said Y/N smiled for a moment.

"You're right, I never would, not even to you lot." Y/N said as he dismantled the guns, he began to leave when Madame B spoke up.

"Eight and a half years you were in that cell and you're still too scared to kill."

"Not scared, especially not by you." Y/N responded as he left, activating his wings and flying off as the Avengers arrived on the rooftop to see their enemies tied up. Nat looked up to the sky and caught a glimpse of her son flying away to finish his nights mission, remove the Red Room from power in Minsk.

"Take them to the RAFT." Nat said as she nodded to Tony.

6 months later:

News of the Red Room leaders capture spread fast throughout the world, People began to rise up against the Red Room and it's armies, eventually the world was mostly freed of enemy influence, all of it, the Resistance, the people finally fighting back across the globe, all of it centered around one person, Y/N Romanoff, Resistance members began competing to see who could come up with the best story of the proclaimed hero of the Resistance. The Red Room and its allies were reduced to rats scurrying away, without it's leaders a power vacuum meant that by the time people had risen against their oppressors, it was easy for the Resistance to win. The Avengers became the surgical knives that drove through the heart of the Red Room, with Y/N at the helm, leading the charge to the point where the Red Room was now a thing of the past.

The War was won.
