First Mission

A.I.M Compound, South American Jungle:

Y/N, Wanda and Pietro were on the quinjet with the rest of the Avengers.

"We move in on the complex and wipe out the hostile forces, grab any intel we can and get any prisoners out." Cap said as he looked to Y/N. "Y/N, Nat and Clint are going to move in from the perimeter, Tony and Thor you two keep the skies clear, I'll provide backup from the jet, Wanda and Pietro, take the facility leaders, Hulk...smash."

Y/N, Nat and Clint moved in through the wire fence surrounding the facility, their respective weapons at the ready, as they moved in the squad saw a group walk past, the group was hit by two bullets and an arrow, they moved further into the compound, killing a further three guard patrols, as they reached the main building of the facility they all looked above to see Hulk landing on a bunker, destroying it.

Y/N pushed into the facility, fighting through the waves of guards appearing from the the barracks and the main facility building, as he moved through he could hear screams that sounded like they were coming from hostages in the barracks next to him. Nat and clint were clearing out another building leaving the boy alone to try and take out the guards, as he kicked the door in he saw a young woman held at gunpoint, the guard was using her as a human shield, Y/N slowly put his stun gun down and held his hands up waiting for a chance to rescue the woman, as the guard got closer to him and the door Y/N swiftly drew his stun pistol and hit the guard in the head with the shot before holstering his weapon and picking his rifle up and running over to the hostage.

"Señora, ¿estás bien? [Ma'am, you okay?]"

" Él ... él iba a matar ...[He...he was going to kill...]"

"Él no le hará daño ahora, señora. [He won't hurt you now Ma'am.]" Y/N said as Nat and Clint walked in to see him helping the woman to her feet.

"You alright there kid?"

"Yeah, just a hostage situation, you know, the kind of thing any normal kid get's involved with at my age." Y/N said as he heard something outside, when they stepped out of the building he saw a huge mech suit fighting Hulk, Thor and Tony while Cap and Pietro helped non combatants to safety and Wanda was trying to restrain the mech with her power. "Wonder if this is normal for other school children?"

"Probably not." Wanda chimed in as Y/N ran at the mech, Nat threw him one of her stun batons knowing his plan, he caught the baton and climbed onto the back of the mech and jammed the baton into its circuitry causing it to overload for a moment exposing the core. Y/N grabbed the baton and jumped off, tucking and rolling to lessen the impact as the rest of the Avengers attacked the core, he turned to see the mech begin to fall like a plank of wood, he barely managed to dive out of the way before it landed.

"There goes Megatron." Y/N joked.

"Really kid?" Tony said as the team sighed.

"Hey you're the one who showed me that cartoon, besides, it's a giant robot trying to kill us, what else am I gonna call it?" Y/N answered as he walked up to the thing and looked at the circuitry, noticing it was missing a few key pieces. "This thing was likely an old model."

"When'd you become an expert?"

"Last night, around 12 am."

"What were you doing up-"

"I couldn't sleep, I process not sleeping by boring myself to sleep, Steve was asleep so no lectures on the importance of sleep, next best thing was one of the textbooks." Y/N said as he heard a small chuckle from Clint and Tony.

"Am I really that boring with those lectures?" Steve asked as the team turned to face him pausing for a moment.

"Yes." They said in unison.

"Sure, whatever, let's wrap this up and RTB for debrief." Steve said as Y/N smirked to Nat using his watch to message her a video of the whole team telling Steve his lectures were boring enough to make them fall asleep.

As the team headed back to the quinjet Y/N looked around questioning why he felt something off about the place.

"Anyone feel strange?" Y/N said as he felt the hairs on his neck stand on edge.

"No, why?"

"don't know. Might be nothing, might be something." Y/N said as he looked around slowly, his eyes scanning the jungle.

"Y/N." Wanda said, pulling Y/N from his thoughts. "are you coming?"

"What? Yes. Let's go." Y/N said as he stepped onto the jet, sitting down and looking out of the window with a concerned photo on his face.

"Y/N, you look like you're seeing ghosts, you okay." Clint asked as Y/N turned to face him.

"Yeah, just an odd feeling." he answered as he looked at Wanda and Pietro.

He sat next to the and tried to get some sleep and forget what he saw. He was asleep for a few hours before Nat woke him up, they were coming back up on the compound.

"Come on." Nat said as she helped him to his feet.

They stepped off the jet and headed to the briefing room. He was next to Wanda and Pietro in the briefing room, he sat there bored, trying to think of anything other than the immense boredom.

'God Steve really boring.' Y/N thought to himself as Wanda heard his thoughts and let a small laugh.

'Really?' Wanda said to Y/N mentally.

'Really boring, I think I might go comatose.' Y/N thought as he looked at Wanda while hearing the presentation.

"Alright, dismissed." Steve said as the team filed out of the room.

Y/N was sitting in the kitchen when the elevator door opened.

"Hey Peter." Y/N said as Parker walked in.

"Hi, can you help me with something?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"I need a partner for the science project."

"Sure, but what's up with Ned?"

"MJ is working with him."

"Oh. So what's the project?" Y/N asked as he opened the HUD on his watch.

"We have to build something like a car engine, it's gonna be put on display if it comes top of the class." Peter answered as Y/N smirked.

"So, nothing too advanced like the suit I built."

"Yeah, maybe an eco-friendly power source or something." Peter said as he saw Y/N begin to think of something.

"Got it, follow me." Y/N said as he led Peter to the Lab so they could begin building the project.
