Y/N and Amy were sitting in a cafe together, talking about what Amy had been up to while Y/N was held prisoner.

"So, seriously, what was Bell like while I was missing?" Y/N asked, concerned about the welfare of his friends.

"Him and Flash upped their game when you were declared missing, when you were declared dead they dialled it up to a hundred." Amy said as Y/N let out a breath.

"Fuck, when I'm back in school I'm gonna kick his fucking head in." Y/N said as he clenched his fist. "As for Bell, I'm done playing nice, I'll be speaking to Aunt Pepper, see what she can do about him."

Amy looked across at him.

"You know it's not your fault...right?"

"Never said it was." Y/N said as he sipped his drink.

"No, you didn't have to, it was the first thing you've been worried about since you got back, I just saw it in your eyes, stop blaming yourself." Amy said as Y/N sighed.

"I hate it when you do that." Y/N said as Amy looked confused.

"Do what?"

"Read my mind." Y/N said as Amy laughed. "This Red Room business, when it's done I'm taking time off being a hero, just going to live life as Y/N Rushman, student at midtown high."

"That'd be nice, you and me finally having a normal life for once." Amy said running her thumb over Y/N palm.

"As normal as you can get when your mother is an ex-assassin, an international spy and an avenger. When your sister can use the power of telepathy. When your brother can move faster than a bullet. And when your wonderful girlfriend can give a terrifying glare if you piss her off." Y/N said as he looked Amy in the eyes, they leaned in and kissed.

When they had finished their drinks Y/N and Amy went around to see the city of Wakanda they visited the temple of Bast where Y/N lit a remembrance candle for his father while Amy lit one for both of her parents. As Amy was about to leave Y/N stepped back up to the remembrance altar and lit one extra candle before heading back to Amy.

"Who was that for?"

"People who died because of my mistakes." Y/N said as he thought of the girls who died in the Red Room. Amy decided to leave the subject alone, feeling that if Y/N was so tight lipped about it then he didn't enjoy talking about it.

They explored the city and found a small shop with the word open, Y/N translated the sign, it was apparently home to a fortune teller.

"Perhaps he can tell us all about our future." Amy said pulling Y/N into the building by the hand.

They walked in to see a man surrounded by candles and painting on the floor, became suspicious at the sinister layout of the room.

"Hello, Mr Romanova, Ms Wilkinson, I am Zawavari." The man said like the name was meant to mean something to them.

"Hi, the sign said fortune tellers? We were wondering if you could tell us our future." Amy said as Y/N analysed the room.

"Of course. I can tell you of the path ahead, but I cannot tell you how to change it's course, that is for you to decide." Zawavari said as Y/N raised an eyebrow.

"Yes please." Amy said as Zawavari looked into the future.

Y/N looked around to see the smoke throughout the room start to form images.

"Amy Wilkinson, The girl who came back from the dead and the girl who always hopes. Always hoping for something, for Y/N to come back when he was captured, for him to be alive. You are bound to Y/N in ways you cannot comprehend, one could not exist without the other, Y/N almost couldn't go on without you, you almost could not go on without him. Your paths are intertwined, but end in different places. Yours will end..."

"That's enough."

"Y/N?"

"It's dangerous to learn about your final fate."

"I know I'm eventually going to grow old and pass Y/N, we all die."

"Yes, but knowing the circumstances of your death can lead to consequences, for example if you die before the date dictated and by different means, that will create a paradox in space and time." Y/N answered as Amy raised an eyebrow.

"When did you become the expert?"

"When I picked up that stone, I saw my future, I know I'm going to die, I know it's a premature death, but I don't know how, the stone showed things you wouldn't believe." Y/N said as Amy looked at him to see he was telling the truth.

"Okay, if it's that dangerous, let's leave." Amy said, she was excited about knowing her future but seeing how much of a burden it was on Y/N, it changed her mind. As Y/N and Amy went to leave Zawavari spoke up again.

"Romanoff will fall at Vormir." Zawavari said as Y/N paused and turned slowly.

"Don't push me Zawavari, T'Challa may put up with you, but I'm not the king and I'm certainly not as good a man as he is."

"I am merely telling you a fact Romanoff, how you interpret that fact is your decision."

"It won't happen."

"Death is inevitable for us all."

"Not if I have anything to say about it." Y/N said as left with Amy who was still unused to seeing his anger bubble to the surface.

The next morning Y/N and Amy headed to Shuri's lab to see her looking through files. Nat was waiting there with her arms crossed over her chest. Y/N looked Nat in the eyes to try and gauge how pissed off she was.

"What did I do to deserve the snarl you're giving me?"

"Not to you two, him." Nat said gesturing to a scared looking Tony.

"Tony, Tony. Hey! Tin can." Y/N called finally getting Tony's attention.

"Rude."

"So's blanking me when I'm talking to you. What'd you do to piss mum off?" Y/N asked as Tony paled in the face.

"He set a glitter bomb in my suitcase so when I opened it glitter went all over me." Nat said as Y/N winced.

"Tell Pepper, she'll help you kill him."

"She did, now Pepper's locked me out of my room." Tony said as Y/N smirked.

Shuri was finished with her work and pulled out a small case for both Y/N and Amy. Y/N's case contained an assortment of gadgets and new bracers like Nat's Widow's bites. They were sleek enough to pass as a bracelet and a watch. Amy's case contained a suit and a stun pistol.
