UCLA
THURSDAY, 09:48 AM

And it never got better. Robin had at least one cigarette every day, successfully hiding it from Finney. But Finney started to get suspicious when Robin came home from classes smelling like smoke. He just told him he went out for a while and a few people were smoking, but Finney was starting to not buy it.

Finney was just starting to wake up when his dorm room door opened. It turned out to be Robin. He was hanging up his jacket on the coat wrack and smiled when he saw Finney. He walked over to him and leaned down to peck him on the lips and ruffled his bed head. And this is where Finney got extremely suspicious, because Robin's lips tasted like smoke.

So, he decided to be smart and ask him. "Why do your lips taste like smoke?" Robin paused from looking through his closet. "Answer me." Finney demanded.

"It's nothing, Finn. Don't worry about it." he continued looking through his closet for something to wear. Finney sighed and got up, rummaging through his own closet for an outfit. He settled on flared dark blue jeans, one of Robin's Nirvana t-shirts that sat oversized on him and a plain black zipper.

He quickly changed into his outfit, grabbing his phone and his book bag, fast walking out the door. Robin frowned and pulled a white wife beater over his head.

FINNEY & PENNY'S PHYSICS CLASS
THURSDAY : 10:34 AM

"I just don't understand why he wouldn't tell me. He can tell me absolutely anything, I won't take it personally. I mean, I'm worried about him. He's had a ton of college work dumped on him and I can tell he's stressed about it." Finney rambled to Penelope, while writing notes in his notebook.

"I mean, me and Donna came back from a walk once and there were a bunch of stoners out. When I kissed her, her lips tasted like smoke 'cause she was breathing through her mouth. Might've been that." Penny suggested.

Finney nodded. "You might be right. But he has the lighter on his nightstand all the time. You know the lighter I got him for his 18th?" Penny nodded. "That one. It's always on his nightstand."

"Donna keeps a lighter around to play with. When she's studying she'll have it in her hand to turn it on and off." Penny tried to keep Finney calm about the whole ordeal, but it clearly wasn't working.

"Yeah but that's Donna. She doesn't have a family history of drugs and stoners." Finney sighed. He aggressively rubbed out a mistake he made on his paper. Penny looked at Finney and sighed.

"Robin isn't a stoner." Penny argued.

"He used to smoke." Finney shot back.

"What?" Penny was taken off gaurd.

Finney nodded. "Yeah. He started around 13 and quit around 16 'cause he met me. He told me that about a month ago when he was drunk after we went to a party."

"Damn. That poor boy has it hard, I can't imagine being in his shoes," Penny said, taking a sip of her Starbucks Pink Drink she got before class. "With his dad and all, and figuring out his old hockey captain is his step brother, it must be hard."

Finney sighed. He put his pencil down and leaned back in his chair. "I need him to know I love him. He doesn't need to go back to old habits, he can talk to me."

"Tell him that." Penny replied.

"He doesn't listen. I tried to ask him about it this morning but he said I shouldn't worry about it."

ROBIN ARELLANO - DENVER
THURSDAY, 11:06 AM

Robin got out of his car and shut the door, then opened the door to the backseat to grab his backpack. He went up to the front door of the house, unlocking it with his keys. Molly perked her head up from the TV when she heard the door closing. "Robin! I didn't know you were coming!"

Robin smiled when he saw his sister. "Yeah, neither did I. I needed a break from everything." he dropped his bag at the end of the couch and cuddled up next to Molly.

Molly frowned but nonetheless wrapped her arm around him. "Mom's not home, but she should be back around five. And Sofia is at her friends, she'll be back with Mom," Robin nodded, keeping his sight focused on the show Molly had been watching before he arrived. "Are you okay? I mean I thought you'd be ecstatic about the engagement."

"I am, it's just I have a shitload of college work to do." Robin said. Molly nodded understandingly. They sat in comfortable silence watching Gilmore Girls and Robin almost fell asleep until someone knocked at the door.

Molly got up to answer it, leaving Robin to fall on his side. "It's probably my Amazon package." she said. Robin shot her a thumbs up. She unlocked the door and opened it with a smile, that immediately dropped when she saw who it was. "Dad!?"

"Hola Molly."

VANCE HOPPER - DENVER
THURSDAY : 11:10 AM

Vance unlocked his home door and chucked his keys on the table near the door. "Mom? You home?" he searched the house and looked into the rooms, only finding them to be empty. "Mom! It's me!" he yelled. Nothing.

That was until he got to the kitchen and his jaw immediately dropped at the sight in front of him. His biological father was sitting across the counter to his mother, drinking a cup of tea in his house. His biological father. His father. His sperm donor. I think you get the point.

"Dad!?"

"Hello Vance."
