Robin was staring at the ceiling in absolute bliss.
Finney was staring at the ceiling in absolute euphoria.
Robin was tracing the lines on Finney's palm, leaning his head against his headboard while Finney was lying on Robin's chest. "You know what?" Finney whispered. He wasn't sure why he was whispering; he didn't give two flying fucks about what Billy had to say. However, it seemed romantic.
"What?" Finney could hear the smile on Robin's face.
"I've been dreaming about this for a long time. Thank you."
Robin stifled a laugh. "You're thanking me for proposing to you?"
"No, well, yeah. But what I really mean is thank you for all of this. Everything you do for me. You love me like no one ever has before, and at first it was a little overwhelming but I've learned to know that someone can love me and care for me like you do. You go out of your way to do things for me, and I have no idea how to repay you. It's just- I didn't think anyone was capable of loving me, I mean I'm a goddamn handful and-" Finney was rambling and was sure close to tears. Robin took note of this.
"Stop talking. Finney, you're an amazing boy and I'm privileged to be engaged to you. If you didn't come into my life I don't know where I'd be now. You're beautiful, you're kind, you've got that cute look in your eyes, you're everything. I can't imagine a life without you. You're so, so special to me. I love you so much that I'd do anything as long as you're with me." Robin looked down at him and he could see that he was blushing even if it was dark.
Robin leaned down and kissed his boyfriend gently. Finney greatly accepted the kiss, grabbing his hand to hold instead of feeling the soft touch to his palm. "You're the best." said Finney, when they broke apart.
"I am, aren't I?"
"Cocky bastard." Finney smiled and got comfy, just to fall asleep on Robin's chest right away.
