Finney was wide awake, sitting at his desk with fairy lights illuminating around him. Robin was sound asleep, and Finney could hear his quiet snores. He was almost sure he was probably drooling.
Finney had Cigarettes After Sex song quietly playing on a speaker beside him, while he worked on studying for his next math test. He had been staying up late ever since exams and tests took place, and he stayed up late to plan for the wedding. He knew for a fact that Robin hated how he didn't get as much sleep as he would need, but Finney didn't care. He needed to pass his tests.
He was halfway through a textbook page until Robin came up behind him and closed it. He picked it up, along with Finney's notebook he was studying in and put them on the shelf above Finney's desk. "Enough," Robin scolded. "I don't want no buts, brush your teeth and get to bed."
Finney got up without a word and turned the light on to their small bathroom. Robin leaned against the doorway and watched as his fiance brushed his teeth, not caring that he was annoyed. "You need to stop staying up so late." Robin said as Finney spat out the toothpaste foam.
"I'm fine." Finney replied before taking a sip of water and clearing out his mouth.
"You're not. I can see circles under your eyes, Finn. Stop studying so late, you're gonna ace your tests."
"Whatever." Finney turned the light off in the bathroom and brushed past his fiance. Robin grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him back, wrapping his arms around his waist.
"You're going to go to sleep at a normal time now. I don't care how many tests you have, what planning you have to do, you're going to sleep before midnight. And don't tell me I can't tell you what to do, because I can. Because you listen to me. So, what I want you to do from now on is study when you've got free time at work, not in the middle of the night. Understand?"
Finney was absolutely taken aback at how close their faces were. He heard everything Robin had just said, and he was sure as hell going to listen, but he had no idea what to say. "Do you understand, Finney?" Robin said.
"I understand."
"Good, now get to bed."
