Rose X Reader

There she sat, lying down on her bed reading. You would feel really bad if you had decided to take her book away from her, so you went downstairs to Ms. Lalonde, said goodbye, and headed home to your house. You walked home, which took about an hour, and played your music loud. You saw Dave on your way home from Rose's and waved at him and he nodded at you. He ran up to you and drug you into his house, smiling as he did so. "You do realize Rose's birthday is soon, correct (Name)?" Dave says. "Yeah. What should we get her anyways?" You ask. "What do you mean 'we'?" Dave asks. "Well maybe you and I could actually get her something together. Is that fine?" You say. "Whatever (Name), but you do owe me." He says, looking at his broken headphones. "Fine Strider but you have to actually help me out." You say, smiling at the lazy Strider. "Fine. We should write her a song or something." He says, looking over at Jade. You knew he had the biggest crush on her for the longest time, but she refused to date him because Rose liked Dave. "L-look I have to go now." Strider says and rushes over towards Jade. You continue to walk home, getting lost in the music as you went along.

Once you got home, you began to write down a few lyrics (I wrote this irl and if using, take credit):

You put down your pencil and smile at your artwork. Surely the Strider wouldn't mind that much if you showed up at his house and began to play with his instruments. You entered the back door, and started to play with his "magical machines" as he called them.
"How did you get in here?" Bro asks. "Oh. Well I told Dave I needed his help but he didn't give me any so yeah. I don't owe him crap either btw. You can tell him that." You say, smiling hugely. "I can help you out if you want (Name)." Bro says. "You would really help me out?" You ask. "Of course. I mean, Dave went to Harley's house and he won't be back for a while I guess, so yeah." He says. "Oh. I thought it was out of sincerity." You say and begin to use Dave's all powerful music making machines.

It takes a few hours until you get everything to sound perfect. Now it was time to record your voice on tape and give Rose a song for her birthday. You began to sing your song, which was titled Love is Interesting.

You, (First Name) (Last Name) were really proud of how everything sounded. You listened to the recording and it sounded great! "Thanks Bro." You say and hug him. "No problem (Name)." He says and lets you leave.

You leave the Strider household when you see it starts to rain. 'Fuzz' You think. You call your guardian over and they gladly come pick you up. "Thanks (Guardian's Name). I really appreciate it." You say, hugging your guardian. "No problem (Nick Name)." They say, smiling wide and laughing a bit. "Haha very funny. Now let's get home so I can wrap my friend's burthday present." You say, putting in headphones and smiling. You slowly fall asleep and don't know it either.

<A few days later>

You wake up to Strider banging on your bedroom door and shouting. "D-Dave, what the heck do you w-want?" You say, half asleep. "Do you even know that Rose's party is in FIFTEEN minutes?" He says. "Shoot. Okay have the present and all." You say, smiling as you bring the present out of your room. "You really should say that I helped out (Name)." Dave says. "Haha, Bro helped out thank you." You say. "Okay but what will I owe you if you include me?" He says. "Ask Rose out for me." You say, turning the other way and blushing. "And I get to sabotage you and Jade "hanging out" next time." You say. "Deal, now let's go!" He says, running as fast as he can with you by his side.

<A few interesting minutes later>

"Oh thank you for coming Jade. Didn't know you actually remembered." She says, smiling. "Oh you know, can't let a friend down!" Jade says, smiling and coming inside the Lalonde household. "Wait!!!!" You shout, rushing through the doorway with the extremely tired Strider on your back. "What the-" Rose says before you pass out.

<Strider's POV>
You stare at your newly unconsious friend in their state. "Shit bro. How could this have even happened?" You ask ever so cooly. "Hmm idk, maybe it's the fact that you were *ontop* of (Name)." Rose says, trying to be sarcastic. "Well we could still have the party-" John says before you cover his mouth and shout "No!!!" uncooly. "Oooh is Strider losing his cool again?" Jade asks. "Shut up Jadey- JADE!" You say, correcting yourself. "W-what happened?" (Name) asks. "Oh. Hehe, Strider lost his cool." Jade says. "And tried to call me Jadey Pooh." "Haha. Strider does love Jade!!!" You say, fangirling over them both. You smash their skulls together and run away into Rose's kitchen, giggling every step you took. 'Only if it was that way with you and Rose.' You thought.

<A few fangirling minutes later>
"Hey (Name), aren't you coming?" Rose asks. "O-oh yeah. Sorry Rose!" You say. "Oooh you can open our's last." You and Dave say simultamiously. "Okay...?" She says, starting to open Jade's first. "Wow. Nice sweater you made me Jade. Thanks for the new board game too." She says, smiling widely. "Open mine next!" John says. She opens his and she sees new knitting needles, a few of John's favorite movies into books. "Wow thanks John." She says, bro hugging him. "Here." You say and begin to sing along with her gift.

"Hehe, now Rose could be the knight and ask her true love out!" John says. "JOHN! DONT RUIN THE MOMENT!!!" Jade and Dave shout, covering the dork's mouth shut. You and Rose seem to have this "space" around each other and you finally kiss her. She blushes and she kisses back. "Awww!" Jade says, looking at Strider oddly. "Fine Jade." He says, pulling her closer than before and taking her outside to kiss so they couldn't ruin your moment of triumph.
