(A/N) This is what happened on the night of June 8th, 2015 for us 8th graders. A very special story told by me, the author. This probably has spelling errors, sorry.
(End of A/N)

She arrived earlier on the night of June 8th, 2015, and she waited for her friends Melanie and Gwen. She areived with her best friend Mel, standing outside with her friends Alex and Ryan, talking to them both. They watched all the pretty dresses girls had on, and all the guys with tuxs on, looking dashing. There was one guy she waited for though. And that guy she had the hugest crush on but she knew he didn't like her back. But as 20 minutes went by, Gwen had finally shown up, looking amazing in converse as the girl did. They both hugged one another, smiling, and eventually went inside with their friends. They saw the pedophile teacher (hahah I hate him irl bc he is one, no joking here at all) and he waved and smiled at them. They walked away laughing a bit, meeting up with their clan of friends. "Hey Guys!!" Jillian says, running up to the girl and hugging her. Skye also hugs the girl and she smiles. The girl sees all of her friends and runs off with them, smiling and hanging out on the dance floor. She soon gets pulled off and stuck holding her friend's stuff, which she didn't mind, but she became anti-social for a while. All her friends were trying to get her crush and his crush together that night for a dance.

Later her friend-I mean crush was conplaining about not having someone to dance to and the girl replied with "Well maybe you should dance with someone who actually cares," Tears forming in her eyes as she walks away. He obviously didn't take notice and

<Timeskip past the boring moments and anti-social parts>

It was around 8 o' clock and her friend Melanie had finally gotten the girl's crush to dance with his crush. The girl laid against the wall, feet against it, watching the two of them dance, and she felt jealous, but also happy for them. She finally started to dance with her crush Gwen, and they were pretty bad at it, but who cares. Her crush started to joke about bombs in the high school, and the girl only thought he was joking about it. He obviously was, and she really didn't give two shits about it either. A few minutes later her friend Kenzie says that her friend Lauren was showing off her boyfriend and it was making her upset. The girl understood how it felt, but she did realize something: If the other person doesn't seem to care or notice, it wouldn't work out.

She drug her friend Gwen with her into the bathroom, seeming really upset and her friends took notice of it. They ask her what's wrong and she says nothing as she runs off to the bathroom with Gwen. She explains and she understands, wanting to talk about her ex and shit and how she was there showing off.

The girl returns to the party and stays on the outskirts, ignoring most people and finally her friend starts to cry. Ryan was upset because his sister had died and the DJ had played her song. Everyone tried to cheer him up, and eventually by the end of the dance, he had at least seemed better. The girl left with her mother after formal, and she dreaded to go back until High School started. She didn't wanna pretend to appreciate her crush dancig with his crush. She was entirely crushed by the end of formal, and refused to even smile.

Once she got home, she actually started to cry and locked herself up in her room. She didn't want to deal with anybody until tomorrow. She really didn't wanna go to ELA to even see her crush and be friend zoned anymore. She just wanted to be done....

THE END...
