Jade X Dave

You started to look at your bestfriend from when you two first met up in Kindergarten, and he seemed to have something up with him. "Dave. Are you okay?" You ask. "Uhh yeah Harley. Totally fine." He says, trying to avoid the subject. "Did Rose break up with you finally?" You ask. "Y-y-yeah...." He says. "Love is a dangerous game Dave. I should know that. Especially after Karkat and Tavros fought over me." You say, trying to prove a point. "So you are saying to not fall in love?" He asks. "I, yes Dave." You say, getting confused. "O-okay Jade. So umm what would you like to do exactly?" Dave asks. "We could go to the beach for a little while." You say, blushing a bit. "I have no idea what you have planned Jade but I can tell you're up to no good." He says. "Of course I am not!" You shout, and go up towards your room.

You start to just lie down on your bed and start to fall asleep. You knew Dave was going back to Texas soon without any choice, and getting mad at him wouldn't help at all. You slip on your bathing suit and put sweat pants and a sweatshirt on overtop the suit, and go back downstairs. You run into Dave by accident. "Omg I an soooo sorry Dave." You say. "Harley it's okay. I know you didn't mean it. It's my fault for sneaking up on you. Let's get ready to go to the beach." He says, taking the keys off your bookshelf and jumps in the driver's seat. You sit next to him and smiles. Jake rushes out towards you and you just roll your eyes. "Be careful Jade." He says and comes beside you. "I promise I will be Jake. See you soon," You say and open the window to hug him. "Have fun Jade!" He says and goes back inside. "Dave rolls the window back up and drives in silence.

The beach was about five minutes away and you planned on telling that you really liked him there. Hopefully nothing was going to ruin that chance.

You could've sworn Jade was up to something with the way she was acting the past hour or so. You two get out of the car and walk towards the beach with your millions of things Jade insisted on bringing. "Hey Dave." She says. "Hmm?" You say. "I would like-" She says before the car hits her and yourself. "Oh shiiiiiiiit we hit people Terezi." The spider bitch says. You black out entirely and remember Jade had something to say.

<Later>

"Dave!!! You are finally awake!!!!" Dirk shouts. "W-what happened?" You ask. "Well two people got arrested for hitting you and Jade with their car on purpose and well you two need to rest up before they let you out of the hospital." Dirk says. "W-well where's Harley?" You ask. "She had.... more serious injuries than you do Dave and she's gotta stay here longer...." Dirk says. "But she had something to say to me!" Dave shouts. "D-Dirk..." Jake says. "What Jake?" Dirk asks. "C-c-come here please..." He says, tears streaming down his face. You can't hear their conversation but Dirk appears like he doesn't wanna talk to you any longer.

"So your saying she's lost her memory from being hit?" You ask. "P-p-pretty much..." He says, walking towards his sister. "J-j-jade? Can you hear me?" He asks. You really felt bad for the guy. His younger sister got hit by a car and now she can't even remember anything occording to the doctors. "Sir. She's in a coma right now and once she wakes up, she won't remember you all at all in her condition." The doctor says. Jake walks over towards Dave and start to yell at him. "Why couldn't you have taken better care of her?!?! She's now in a coma and can't remember a thing Dave Strider!!!!!" He shouts, and waits for a response from Dave. "J-Jake. We were on the sand near the water and somebody hit us both at the same time. I would have no clue who the living hell could drive that bad..." Dave says and breaks into tears.

Jake was actually screaming at me for a little while. It wasn't my fault I told my self repeatedly but the longer he screamed, the more he made it seem like it was my fault. I was her knight and she was a princess. I failed to protect her. I really did. And now she's stuck with serious injuries to the brain and won't remember a thing about her past. I get up and walk over towards Jade and start to weep even harder than before. "Jade. It's Dave. I know I failed at protecting you. I see that but I want you to know that I let my guard down for one second and know you won't remember a thing. It's all my fault!!! I'm sorry I was a terrible friend.... I wish I could see you wake up and remember everything but thats's not how life works.... I wish you would wake up Jade from your sleep." I say and hug her lifeless body.

You were furious at Jake for yelling at Dave. You knew it wasn't his fault and was going to make him not be able to come back to my house after we leave. You pull Jake aside and whisper to him. "You should really appologize to Dave. He didn't do anything wrong. Vriska and Terezi hit them both on purpose and now they are in jail. Dave's condition could possibly get worse if you yell at him more. He has slight brain damage. The doctors are giving him surgery soon to fix everything and we might be moving in a week. Sorry to say it but our vaction is over." You say. "Whatever. Once Jade wakes up then I will." Jake says. You walk out of the hospital and start to weep. You never did that but your bestest friend was actually upsetting you and making things worse. You walk in on Dave and Jade and sigh at the adorableness.

You kiss Jade's lips. "I love you Harley..." You say and hug her tighter. "I love you too Dave..." She say and wakes up. "JADE!!!!" You shout and put her on your lap. "I have loved since the day we met. Never knew it would come true." You say. "Dreams do come true Dave." She says and kisses you.

<A week later>
"Dave. We aren't moving. You really care for Harley and maybe it's time you two get together and spend alot of time together." You say and smile. "Thanks Bro!!" Dave shout and hugs you. "He gets the shouting and happiness from you Jade." You say and grin. "Yeah but he gets the coolness from you Dirk." She says.

Jake shows up at the door. "Dave. I'm sorry for yelling at you." He says. "What are you even talking about Jake?" Dave says. "I yelled at you at the hospital and I came over to say I'm sorry." He says. "O-okay?" Dave says. You knew Dave's condition was just settling in if he couldn't remember alot.
