Vriska X John (Requested)

You stood quietly on the beach, watching the sun fall in the sky. You loved how everything seemed insignificant on Alternia, but there were more places to get away from all the comotion. The beach was your all time favorite place to relax at, and a certain someone usually joined you there. Eridan, no. I mean John Egbert, one of the humans who had recently came to your planet with 3 other humans. Their names were Dave Strider, Rose Lalonde and Jade Harley.

You had an interest in John though, and had no clue what you really saw in him. He just was really funny, cute and had a dork/nerd side to him. He watches a whole lot of older movies with Troll John Travolta in them.

Now if anyone would ever try and make you admit that you like John, well, they had something else coming for them. You did like John but in a new, fascinating way that you've never seen or experienced before.

*Knock* Who could that be at this hour? You thought as you ran to get the door. Egbert.

"Why hello there Vriska, how are you doing?" John asks, smiling his usual dorky one. "I'm fine Eg8ert, how a8out you?" You ask, trying to be polite. "You seem off today, is this something new to stay or just a blue moon occurrence?" John asks, noticing the politeness. "Just trying to 8e a 8it nicer, since it's going to 8e "Christmas" soon." You reply to him.

And that lead to a good hour of John explaining Christmas to you, even though you knew the basics. He also thought it was fine to sing a few "classic" Christmas songs with his explanation. Gosh, were you going to kill him once he shut up.

"John, PLEASE shut up already on Christmas. It's already getting old in my opinion." You blurt out, rolling your eyes. "Don't be a grouch Vriska, it's only the wonderful season of Christmas. Unless you plan to be The Grinch for Christmas." John says, chuckling afterwards. "Who's this "Grinch" you speak of?" You ask. "The guy who tried to steal Christmas in Whooville." He replies, finally leaving.

Well, that could've went a whole lot better...

As a little time passed as you stood waiting around your place, you noticed that it had started to snow. Maybe John wasn't that perfect, but he did have a few qualities in him that you liked. Oh gog, you sounded like a complete idiot for falling for him, but it's not like you could control it honestly. NOBODY COULD EVER CONTROL HOW THEY FELT TOWARDS LOVING ANOTHER LIFE FORM AND IT JUST SOOOOOOOO HAPPENED THAT YOU LIKED JOHN EGBERT. NOT IN A LIKE WAY BUT IN A LIKE LIKE WAY!

Life was just confusing for you on average day, since John always came
over to talk about movies with Nic Cage in them. Or for some other random reason, dropping the daily drama from the humans or trolls in too.

So a few days before the said "Christmas" season was approaching, you decided to go out and cut a huge tree down, hoping it'd fit inside your house. Luckily it did and you started to decirate it in spider webs and dice for ornaments. It wasn't the prettiest but. it sure looked very... Serket-y for the Christmas season.

Later that evening, John dropped by with a few tips to make your house look nice. "Here, take these lights and put them on the tree, it'll look better and prettier at night if you do." John said, starting to put the lights in the tree. Eventually he got carried away and did the whole tree. "Well, I'm off Vriska. I have to go help Gamzee set up all his... stuff which is currently a disaster. I'll be seeing you," He says, starting to leave. "John, w8!" You say, catching up to him. "W-why don't we have everyoneeeeeeee over here for Christmas?" You ask. "Because, well, I guess we could. I'll spread the news Vriska, thanks!" He says as he sprints away in joy. Gosh, this new crush happened to be the DEATH of you. And this new, happier personality too. All of it was to end after this "Christmas" season.

<Time Skip to Christmas Eve>

It was finally Christmas Eve, everyone in your hive causing a little bit of a mess, but everyone was together. It would be the first season without anyone's lusus around to clean up or help out. All the trolls interacted with the humans kindly and it was a joy to watch. "Hey Jade, Why Don't We Go Out Sometime And Get You A New Wardrobe?" Kanaya asked the space hero. "Oh, that'd be wonderful Kanaya! Thank you for that offer." She says and smiles. "Eriidan, II 2wear two gog giive me back my 2carf. FF made iit for me and only me, 2o II'd liike iit back plea2e," Sollux says and tackles Eridan. "Nyeh! Nevver!" Eridan shouts and still fights for it.

You giggled as you watch that fight, and you noticed John happened to be nowhere in sight.

<John's POV>

"Oh god I am going to mess this all up Dave!" You say to your best friend. "No you aren't Egbert, you'll do just fine. You'll do okay if you choose to ask her out." He says, trying to keep you calm. "But Dave, the trolls don't have the same systems of dating as we do. They don't know a thing about dating other than Karkat, who watches too many rom-coms," You say, sitting down on the ground.

"John, you are the Hero of Breath, you can do just about anything you want. Gosh, you could even go Disney with this and use a magic carpet for all I care. You can fly, use it to your abilities to win the heart of Vriska Serket," He says, going back inside with all his friends. Thanks Dave, I appreciate the help.

As it gets closer to midnight, you at that point have entirely changed your outfit to look like a normal human as you fly across the night sky up to Vriska's window. Thanks to Dave's help, he got Karkat to keep her up there with pointless flarping and Karkat nods at you as you come close.

<Vriska's POV>

"Your chariot awaits Vriska, not that I care," Karkat says, stepping away from the open window. "Wooooooooah John, this is amazing," You say as you step onto the magic carpet, sitting down. "Where to?" He asks. "Anywhere but here," You reply and lean back on it, looking up at the stars.

"Isn't it wonderful?" He asks. "Yeah, how did you do it?" You say and smile. "It was pretty easy but a good magician never reveals his secret. Although this is truly happening, it uses my breath power." He says and smiles even more. "That's awesome." You say and space out.

"So ummmmmm Vriska I have a question for you," John says, seeming a little nervous as he speaks. "Yes Egbert?" You reply. "Well you see, I have always felt something between us in a... more flushed way than anything else. So I was wondering if you were to be my matesprite?" He asks, seeming still nervous. "Sure Karkat, I'd love that." You say and fall off the carpet, landing in the water. He follows you and you splash him with water. The pointless water fights were all you needed to do to carry you through that night. And that was the story on how you first fell in love with John Egbert.
