Mertroll! Cronus x Human! Kankri

As school began, you stared put the window waiting for something fun to happen. Your day had already been stressful with Meulin Leijon bugging the shit out of you about going to prom with her; and nothing seemed better than getting her to shut up for one moment so you could finish your essay.

And in conclusion, the ocean life should be taken care of instead of being destroyed for food.

Done at last, it felt like the heavens finally opened up and said that you could finally sleep, which you did.

Some time later, school ends and you rush to your locker, grabbing your stuff, and leave the building. You walk along the water's edges and see something not normal. "Huh, a mermaid trapped in a net? That's pretty odd." You thought quietly.
But being the kind person you are, you dropped your stuff and swam out to help to mermaid.

Once you got there, you saw that it was a merman and he had the net tied around his gills. "Help." He mouthed, not being able to breathe or talk. You carefully got off the net and started to walk back to shore.

"Hey, I wvanna thank you for umm... savwin' my sorry ass in that net." He spoke quietly. "You should really use non-triggering words when you speak. You sound more mature if you do and-" You say, before getting his hand over your mouth. "Just shut it and forget it. I'll be wvay gone before you'll evwer be able to see me again. Thanks for the freedom, loser." The merman spoke before swimming back out to sea.

Gosh, the nerve of some people and sea life...

<Cronus' POV>
You felt bad for the way you treated that human, but it was another human who threw the net on you and tried to murder you. Her name would be Aranea Serket. And boy did she seem to want you more than dead. She seemed to want everyone dead honestly.

You went back down into your castle home and fell asleep on your bed, hoping the Serkets would leave you alone tomorrow.

<Kankri's POV>
You seemed to forget what happened to the merman the next morning because you somehow managed to fall asleep on the beach and have him staring at you. "You tryna to be like me?" He asked sarcastically. "No, what even happened, if I may ask?" You ask. "You seemed to havwe fallen here and awvait my wvonderous presence again." He says, smirking a bit. "Keep that up and maybe I will put that net on you again." You reply, not feeling sorry at all. He just stops speaking and is silent. Dead silent, in fact.

<Cronus' POV>
This was a new feeling for you, and it was definately odd experiencing it now. You just swam away in anger and tried to stay calm. "Shit, why must I always be such an idiot?" You hear him say, and here something fall into the water. You see him sink into the water and that's what really worried you.

You swam faster than you ever have before to try and save this human, who had saved your life yesterday. Now you were returning the favor to him. You pulled him out of the water as quick as possibly and tried to get him to breathe. That wasn't going well for you at all, and he wasn't budging at all. "Damn it!!!! I shouldn't havwe been messin' wvith him anywvays. Nowv he's dead and I-" You say before seeing him open his eyes and breathe again.

It was very odd at that moment in time.
You were clueless what to even say to the human, and were blushing at his adorable self.

"I'm sorry for triggering you a moment ago, it was very impolite of me to do so and I hope you can forgive me for that." He says, blushing a tiny bit. "O-oh. It's fine really. But you don't really havwe any control ovwer poor me." You reply with, smirking once again. "Will you cut that triggering face out already? It's bugging me and-" He manages to get in before you kiss him. He closes his eyes and kisses back.

"I know that I could never love you truely forever but right now would be great for it." You say, smiling down at the blushing human. "Y-you like me?" He manages to ask before nearly fainting. You nod at him and hug him tight for saving your life. And that's what started it all from there.

Your hands traveled a little too far down from where they were supposed to be, and the trigger happy human seemed to start going in depth with the kissing. It eventually turned into making out, and got even better from there!

"You'll nevwer restrict me with that net, Kankri." You say jokingly.  And he put it around you both, and giggled for the first time. He was really embarrassed about that, and was blushing a deep red. "Awvwv you look cute." You say and watch the human be silent.

"Mmmm, babe could you please be mine forevwer?" You ask. "Of course I can be, my sweet little child." He replies, seeming a little too odd for himself.

And he ran as fast as he could after a moment, to fetch something. You'd never knew that you would never see the poor soul ever again...

<Kankri's POV>

You had been working on a experiment for some time now, and hoped to turn sea life into human beings. Your test can run efficiently and lasts forever too! Hopefully your crush will forever want to be human, and never visit the sea again.

As the time you came back with your experiment(potion), Cronus was no where to be seen. "Cronus? Cronus? You here?" You ask repeatingly. "This is not a joke Cronus, come out or so help me you'll never see me again!!!!" You say furiously. You don't mean it but he shouldn't joke around with you like that.

You see bubbles close by, and swim down to see what's wrong. You stop and see Aranea trying to strangle Cronus to death and you try and rush to the rescue. But that was already too late and the lights went out.

<Cronus' POV>

You finish off Aranea yourself and take Kankri back up to the surface, hoping that he's still alive. He's breathing very lightly, which means he still is alive, but not for long. You give him CPR and see if that helps, but it really doesn't. The only other thing to think of is to contact his guardians... Which didn't seem to hopeless since there was a younger boy running over in your direction.

"You piece of shit, what did you do to my brother? I thought he was dead, but I guess I was right to begin with!" The boy says. "Calm dowvn... I savwed him from an evil bitch... A-and nowv..." You manage to say before breaking down in tears. "K-Kankri V-V-Vantas, a-are you really d-dead?" He mutters. You look at the boy and he looks as depressed as you are. "I h-hope not anywvays..." You say, finally losing hope in loving the human named Kankri. The boy of your dreams. The Knight in shining armour. The boy who changed your life and made it a thousand times better. The boy who was possibly dead...

He kissed you, and you started to smile again. Kankri had woken up and you both went back into memory lane. You both had a little fun of your own, and you became a human. You were taught many human traditions and often soent your days hanging iut with the same guy who had saved your life, and became your universe.

"Kankri, will you marry me?" You once asked Kankri. "O-of course I will Cronus but be careful-" He said before you kissed him and eventually ended on the ground. You became very dominant at that point and were ontop of him. Things eventually happened that probably shouldn't have, and you two were married happily.
