Karin opens the door. His jet black hair was slick back as he sports a blue dress shirt and pants. If I was straight I would have thought he was hot. I thought this was Evelyn's address though.

"Do I have the right house?" I ask clearly unsure for myself.

Trying look tough Karin asks, "Depends. What are your intentions with our Evelyn here?" He integrates me like a parent would
making me even more nervous.

The parents were actually in the background watching how this unfolded. May should come to my rescue and save me or at least Evelyn.

May whispers something in her daughter ear which causes her to roll her eyes at her making me question what she whispered.

Nonetheless I ask, "My intentions?"

To my surprise Mr.Fields breaks up this awkwardness and lets me inside the house.

I felt dissected underneath Evelyn's almond eyes. She was breathtaking beautiful. She wore a shiny little black dress and her brunette hair was layered with curls. She didn't wear much make up but today she did which highlighted her high cheek bones.

Starting feel like a creep I thank Evelyn's dad making my way inside her house. Unlike my house they had family pictures on the wall that made it feel home like.

"Let's go." Her best friend jumps in besides us and says looping his arm around mine and Evelyn's. Wait, I was not okay with this what was happening?

"You ok?" Evelyn asks clearly concerned that I was uncomfortable with this arrangement.

"You're not wearing the necklace I gave you." I randomly blurt out while raising my eye brow questioning her.

"You know I don't mind being the third wheel, but can we turn on some music in this fancy car?" Karin asks which causes me to roll my eyes.

The real question was was he the third wheel of this date or was I?

Deciding to play nice I turn on some music mostly to drown out bad thoughts that keep popping up in my brain. This didn't need to happen especially today of all days.

Metallica blasts out from my speakers as Evelyn looks at me shocked that I listen to this type of music.

"Surprised?" I ask as I couldn't help but giggle at her cute innocence.

"Hell yeah! I thought you would be into something like Taylor Swift." Karin states. Of course he would assume something like that.

"People can surprise you." I say side eyeing Evelyn as I say it finally cracking a smile.

Arriving up to my drive way both Karin and Evelyn were in awe of my massive house.

Already exiting the car I make my way over to open up the passenger side for Evelyn extending my hand for her to take.

"How come you didn't open my door too?" Karin asks jokingly holding his hand over his wounded heart. This guy was a comedian alright.

"Karin I love you, but maybe you should go mingle." Evelyn suggests to her best friend probably sensing my uneasiness.

"What kind of best friend would I be if I left you by—" Karin didn't finish his sentence because he spotted a tall lanky boy who was dressed in a blue suite.

"Well, I'm off hunting." He states already disappearing in the sea of people that kept coming.

"Your friend is quite the character." I try to joke with Evelyn as I watch Karin hit on the poor boy.
