Before any of us knew it Saturday arrives. I decide to stay a couple extra days with Finn mostly to help him calm down.

He's more anxious than I've ever seen him.

"If you keep pacing back and forth like you been doing for past fifteen minutes I'm going end up duct taping you to a chair." I say to Finn who stops dead in his tracks because he knows I would seriously do it.

"I feel ridiculous." Finn mumbles to himself as I approach him to fix his hair.

"You look handsome." I compliment him making his pale face turn red.

"Thanks again for everything." The fourteen year old boy says shyly his grey eyes looking away from me.

"You don't have to keep thanking me. You're family to me Finn. How about we finish getting ready and head out." I suggest as I roll up my white dress shirt sleeves.

Yes, I am attending the dance only as a chaperone for Finn. The freshmen use to not have to have chaperones but, that changed a couple years back.  I got caught with liquor my ninth grade year at the freshmen dance. Not only did I get in trouble, but the whole group did. One bad apple ruins the whole bunch is what they say.

Anyways, that's why they make upper class men volunteer as chaperones. Ironically they allowed me to be apart of that list.

    My school makes no sense.

"Are you hoping to run into your girlfriend?" Finn asks teasing me about Fiona for what seems to be the hundredth time.

"I'm hoping I run into your 'girlfriend' I'm sure she would love to know about your collection." I remark back smirking at him making his grey eyes widen with terror.

"You wouldn't." He says shaking his head as I ask him if he is so sure about that.

   I love teasing him

Finn informs me at the school entrance that he's suppose to wait for this girl named Imogen. I didn't really know much about her besides the fact she's in Finn's grade.

I want to stay behind and investigate this Imogen girl, but something told me if I end up doing that Finn wouldn't be too happy.

"You know where to find me if you need anything." I reassure him before entering the door.

Loud music pierces my ears as I make a beeline to the nearest seat I could find.

The freshmen are having a wonderful time on the dance floor doing all kinds of dance moves I probably couldn't tell you.

My eyes scan the sea of people for Finn and his date. I spot his slicked backed dirty blonde hair in the crowd.

My feet automatically get up to ask where his date was when I am halted by a freshmen boy.

"Axial Greyson, will you dance with me?" The overly confident boy asks me. I narrow my blue eyes at him hoping he takes the hint.

"I don't-" I am about to flat out reject this guy when Finn steps in saving this little boy from humilation.

"You don't want to dance with her. Axial has two left feet." Finn lies as the freshmen boy looks at him then back at me before leaving us alone.

"Such a lair! I'm a wonderful dancer I taught you how to dance!" I chuckle at Finn's protectiveness over me as he continues to glare holes at the guy.

"That's enough Superman." I jokingly tease Finn who clenches his jaw in annoyance.

"What's wrong?" I seriously ask dragging him to the dance floor to dance with me.
