Chapter 32- Capabiltiy of Being a Friend

       The morning sun shines it's harsh rays through Dani's current as both of us ended up sleeping on the couch. 
  
I try to be curtesy to the sleeping beauty as I gently try to leave the couch when the witch stretches out making me tumble over.

    My face lands on her carpet causing me to make a loud thud sound.

  "Can't you be quite some of us are trying sleep." Dani's sleep self has the audacity to mumble at me.

   This means war.

   I quickly get back up on my feet and yank her fluffy blanket away from her body.

   I'm instantly met with a loud squeal as Dani can't sleep without something wrapped around her small body. Sometimes knowing stuff about people comes in handy.

  "AXIAL!" Dani's voice pierces my ears causing them to ring.

  "DANI!" I decide to match her pitch as she throws her pillow at me as I laugh at her frantic state.

  "One you tossed me off the couch and two it's Tuesday meaning we have school." I try to explain to her as she tries to throw another pillow at me. How many pillows did this girl have?

   "Since when did you start caring about school?" Dani seriously asks as I begin to take my brain for an excuse.

  "Just come on." I say ignoring the question completely.

   I part ways with Dani outside her house and promised her we would meet up again soon.

    I really didn't feel obligated to show up for school, but there is something here I care about my sports.

   Basketball season is still in full swing and as in acting co captain I felt like it's my responsibility to commit.

   I get excited the more I think about basketball and all the competition we are going to crush.

   In my own thoughts I didn't realize I basically ran into another human being with my shoulder.  

    I instantly apologize helping the person pick up their belongings

  "No worries." Came a brisk reply from Matt Pierce.

   Last time I seen him Evelyn and I were basically babysitting him during new years.
 
    Matt's usual curly chest nut hair is shorter and his usually facial hair is missing. He looked like a fifteen year old instead of an eighteen year old.

   Noticing me staring, Matt smiles at me causing his grey eyes to crinkle in the corners.

   I clear my throat as I rush to hand him back his papers and sprint off like I'm already training for track.

   Don't get me wrong Matt and me are okay as okay can get between two people who had a lot of baggage.

    A lot of people hated on Matt for what his younger brother Daniel did to us. I couldn't place blame for his brother's action. I know what it's like to be judged based off relatives.

   The school bell rings letting me know I'm late for class. Shit.

     "How many times are we going go through this routine?" Principal Watson questions as I sit in my usual sit in his office.

    "I have no idea, Fred." I smartly reply making his face turn the shade of a tomato.

    "I would send a letter home—" Mr. Watson begins as I narrow my eyes at him to continue that sentence.

    Fred Watson clears his throat clearly uncomfortable by me.
