My alarm blares surprisingly waking me up. I have school today and I am less than thrilled to be going.
I could always skip it wasn't like my father paid much attention anyways.
Grudgingly I make my way towards my bathroom, putting on my glasses and brush my teeth.
I grab all the items I need for today and stop by the kitchen to make me some coffee and toast.
I decided today was the day I was going to come out to my father. I didn't care what he thought I couldn't keep living a lie forever. Plus it was getting really awkward getting courted by men when well— you weren't interested in men.
I pull in the school's parking lot. My eyes scan the sea of students when they land on Axial who looked worse for wear. Her raven hair was frizzed out and she sported dark circles underneath her eyes.
Sensing me looking at her she flips me off making sure her motorcycle was staying in place.
I enter the cafeteria when I spot Karin with Evelyn who had a sour expression on her face. She just still be pissed about the gala.
Already planning on giving her double the ones I message one of my people to send Evelyn two thousand in her bank account.
I couldn't help it as my eyes trailed her beautiful face resting on her chest than my eyes move back to her face as she looks at e confused.
To my surprise her doe like eyes held mine as we were having a staring contest with one another. Until reluctantly her best friend kicks her in shin drawing her attention from me. Maybe that was for the best.
I still needed to apologize though so I send her a text that tells her to meet me outside.
I search outside for Evelyn when I spot her sitting on the bench. She looks beautiful as ever. She was wearing regular shirt and jeans but she made them look good. Her flowing brunette hair was off to the left side as her almond eyes look at me.
"Thanks for meeting with me." I say feeling like I should be the one to break the tension between us.
"No problem." She replies becoming all anxious by fidgeting with her hands. I knew the signs
I think she already knew about Axial, Camila and I bet. Which mean I got some serious apologizing to do.
"What we did was wrong. I apologize for my part I played. Reason why I wanted you as my date for the gala wasn't because of the bet. My father has been pressuring me to find a suitor." I finally confess the truth to her which felt like a weight has been lifted off of me.
I figured she was shout or slap me, but she didn't she just sat there waiting for me to explain even more.
"I knew it I brought you to the gala he would get off my back. I know I wronged and I know there isn't much I can say or do for you to forgive me." I say honestly as I look her dead in the eyes.
Evelyn just say they're absorbing everything I have confessed. Sometimes silence wasn't a good thing.
"Please, forgive me. I know I'm in no position to propose anything to you, but is there any chance you could fake date me?" I ask really wanting to date her but was to afraid she was going to reject me.
All Evelyn does is nod her head as a wrap my arms around her thanking her.
On my way I couldn't believe Evelyn agreed to fake date me. She was beautiful she could have a real girlfriend.
