Nikolai POV
"Boss... we received information on Dietrich." One of our in formative's said walking into the room and coming to a stop in front of my father, his arms behind his back. I swear my heart seemed to stop in that moment.
My father looks up slowly looking away from his laptop which rests on his lap, a frown forming on his face, as we make eye contact briefly. It was like a thousand words were said to each other with just that look in that moment. We know it's not going to be good information, otherwise they'd be telling us we have him.
"Go on." My father said leaning back in his chair looking relaxed as ever. But I know deep down he's fighting a war in his head. And so am I.
"We've had word he's moved to another warehouse don." He continued, both of us looking at him to continue. Why would you just stop the sentence there?
"And where is he now?" My father asks, noticing the guards small bit of hesitancy.
"We... we don't know boss."
Are you fucking kidding me?
"So what you mean to tell me is that you have no information on Dietrich?" My father says a glare now formed on his face. A smirk makes it's way onto my face, noticing the guards unease. Well he should have thought about that before giving us false hope.
False hope. False information. I want my revenge on Dietrich for all the pain he's caused my family and Leonora. Leonora.
It's only been like three hours, and they have been the longest three hours of my life. I'm this close to going to bang my head on a wall, especially with this guard wasting our time.
"So you came here. To interrupt our work. For you to tell us you have no clue where Dietrich is?" My father says, his voice remaining deathly calm. My smirk grows, noticing the guards shuffling, his feet unable to stay still, his eyes looking away from us as they dart around the room looking for an escape.
Oh your not leaving here until we've finished.
"Leave." My father says, making me snap my head towards him frowning. Is he seriously letting this fool go right now?
The guard across the room nods quickly before taking hurried steps out of the room, my face wearing a look of disbelief.
"Are you serious?" I ask, my father now reaching into his pocket to pick up his phone, tapping on the screen a few times before lifting it up to his ear. A few seconds go by in silence.
"Gregori. The guard who came here to talk to us you know him?" He asks. I lean forward out of my chair, trying to hear what their talking about, but it's no use.
