Leonora Bernardi locked in the dark. Hurt for most of her life, scared of her own shadow. Not knowing what the outside world is like, she's the epitome of innocence. One look at her and it's like her aura could light up the room.

Leonora POV
I'm currently in the car admiring the stunning views as we pass them. Moving down the road, various tree colours catch my attention, and I can see a tiny village surrounded by large bodies of water in the distance. Mountains and hills rising majestically, towering over the small village of Sviyazhsk.
"Oh I've missed this place." Anastasia said from the front seat, as we pull into a fancy looking metal gate with winding designs of leaves and various flowers on. Vines going down the sides of the old brick walls, winding across the large gate in front of us.
I watch as our car follows the vehicle in front of us before stopping. We briefly stop there while I lean forward to attempt to see what's going on. My eyes enlarge as I watch the big gate suddenly open, our cars follow along the gravel road, and I can make out a massive building out in the distance. My lips parting in surprise.
We move closer to the big structure, which is made of dark, aged slabs of stone with the most beautiful flowers outside and the greenest vines draping over them. A large fountain in the middle of the driveway.
They live here?
As the car comes to a stop, I unbuckle my seatbelt and pause, when I notice Nikolai's extended hand in front of me and his awaiting eyes.
"I don't bite Leonora promise." He said, his face wearing that familiar smirk on his face, half of his body now leaning outside of the car, as he waits for me to take his hand. I feel my cheeks heat up under his gaze.
He takes my hand tentatively and wraps his warm hand over mine. His hands are so large that they entirely conceal my hand, his thumb reassuringly brushing across my skin. I stare up at the enormous building in front of me as Nikolai helps me get out of the car, and his other hand rests on my waist.
"Nikolai take Leonora to her room to unpack." Viktor said as he got out of the other car, immediately going over to pick up Alexei out of the car, before taking a bag out the back, Alexei still resting on his hip. This guy never takes a break does he?
I turn to gaze at Nikolai, who appears to be attempting to catch my attention as I feel a light tug on my arm. As we move towards the home, I stay in his shadow. A vast, dark oak stairway rising high above me is illuminated by a massive crystal light. If I thought the old house was fancy, this is something else.
We make our way steadily up the large stairs, going corridor after corridor. I think I might have to draw another map, this place is too big. Why would you need this big of a house anyway?
"This here is my room, and your room..." Nikolai says continuing down the corridor before coming to a stop at a dark wood door.
"Is right here." He finished. As he opens the door my eyes meet the large space. The room is pretty much the same as my old one, but there's a large glass window and a balcony on the other side of the room. I smile dropping my bag on the floor, moving to look at the view outside of the large window. The large mass of water glistening in the distance.
