Polagat: - Believing or feeling something to be true.

It's been six hours.
Six fucking god damn hours.
And Leonora is still passed out, her warm brown hair falling down in soft waves against her father's pillow. If I wasn't so worked up right now I would be admiring how beautiful she looked even after passing out from a panic attack. But I don't have time for that right now.
"How the fuck did he get in and out without being seen?" Leonora's oldest cousin, Alessio said, who looks like he's about to punch a hole through the wall at any minute.
"I don't know... How did he even get in Leonora's room?" Alvise said, arms crossed over his chest.
"I let him in." I say, moving to take Leonora's hand in mine. Her hand is so cold, as I try to rub some warmth into her skin. I can feel all their eyes on me, but I don't dare for a second to take my eyes from Leonora's.
"Come again?" Armando snaps, standing up from the opposite side of the bed.
"Leone said one of you let him up. He said he wanted to talk to Leonora for five minutes, so I said I'd be right outside. I should have known something was up." I sigh, slumping down in my chair, caressing the soft skin of Leonora's hand which helps to calm me down.
"It wasn't your fault boy. I should have been the one to notice someone had managed to sneak past my guards." Armando said softly. My eyes widen hearing Armando actually taking the blame for this.
"You don't think..." Ivan starts, fidgeting with his fingers in the corner of the room. Valentino comes to stand next to him, taking his hand before stuffing them both in the pocket of his hoodie. I smile slightly happy that my brother's found someone that makes him happy.
"Well it's just... what if one of the guards knew."
I pause, finally taking my eyes from Ivan and looking towards Armando.
"More moles?" I ask.
"No I don't think so. This is something else. He wasn't picked up on any cameras, none of the guards saw him. He has resources he can get himself with his father working in this business. I think he did this on his own... I trust my men. I've known most of them since they were children."
Silence passes by as we all contemplate what's next.
"What do you think he did?" Remo asks, but I can tell he can probably already guess. Just like the rest of us. We saw the bruises on her hips, her arms. Whilst carrying her to her father's room, her shirt had ridden up and it was hard not to notice the black and blue bruises.
"What do you fucking think?!" Valentino snaps, Ivan's other hand coming to rest upon Valentino's chest.
"Language Val." Alessandro snaps back. I try to hold in my snort of amusement. Even now, Leonora's older brother is risking to protect her from bad language even when she's asleep.
