Nikolai POV
"H-hi." Leonora whispers my eyes not straying from hers.
God why is she so cute.
"Hey." I say smirking slightly when I see a light blush coat her cheeks. Well it's nice to know I still have an effect on her.
"I-I um..." Leonora continues, nervously fiddling with the ring along her finger, her lips moving to bite her lower lip.
Moving closer I gently remove her lower lip from her teeth, my eyes falling on her plump soft pink lips.
"It's okay Leonora take your time." I say taking her hand in mine as the soft skin of her hand makes me relax slightly. It feels like it's been forever since I've even had any sort of physical contact with her.
"I-I um... I'm s-sorry." She said, my thumb pausing the caress on her hand. Why the hell is she saying sorry. She shouldn't be the one saying sorry. She should never have to apologize to me ever.
"Your sorry. Leonora you have nothing to be sorry for baby. If anything I should be the one apologizing." I sigh taking her other hand in mine, so I can crouch down in front of her whilst she continues to sit on the end of her bed.
"N-no I was m-mean. I c-completely f-forgot a-about a-all t-t-t t-he-."
"Hey baby take a deep breath for me okay?" I ask. I can tell her stuttering is getting slightly worse, it happens when she get's more nervous than usual.
I take a deep breath indicating her to do the same as she follows after me, holding our breath for a few seconds and letting it out with a sigh.
"Good girl. Now try again." I say caressing the skin on her hands once more.
"Y-you've always b-been so n-nice to m-me." Leonora continues. I nod in encouragement for he to keep going, as I see her slightly smile before continuing.
"B-but I was s-stupid and ignored a-all of t-these things j-just because y-you did t-this one t-thing. Y-yes it hurt m-me, but I k-know it h-hurts more to n-not talk to you o-or be around you." She admits. I nod taking in her words my hear rate speaking up in anticipation.
"Can I share?" I ask moving closer so I'm crouched down in front of her legs. Leonora nods slightly moving her head down so we can make eye contact.
"I know that what I did hurt you, and I know nothing. Nothing will be able to properly fix what I did. I lied to you after I promised not too, I betrayed your trust and for that I will do whatever I can to earn that back again. You do not ever apologize to me okay Leonora? You've done nothing wrong." I say, pouring out all my feelings and frustrations.
