From the graveyard, Alec and the blonde girlmade it to the institute and silently entered the training room without any trouble, the black-haired man grabbed his bow from the gun rack and Buffy looked at the gun.

The blonde watched as Alec concentrated on his arrows and the runes he applied to them.

Then she looked at Alec's runes that covered his arms. She was curious what each rune was for. Buffy glanced at his angelic perfect face. Blonde girl was worried about her sister Dawn, but when they were alone she had a chance to see how handsome and sexy he was.

The blonde as a vampire slayer never had time for relationships, even though she was with two vampires. Her relationships either ended in a breakup or the death of her lover. She felt a void after Spike's death, but since Buffy met Alec, she felt that the emptiness she felt was finally filled, and despite everything that was going on in her life, she felt happy for the first time in a while. Alec was the anchor that allowed her to be happy and forget her painful past.

- Alec - A voice called from the entrance to the training room, startling Alec and Buffy.

Alec and Buffy turned to see Hodge walking towards them. Alec put down the arrow and with Buffy stood in front of the runic arrows to hide it from Hodges' view.

- I didn't know you'd be here with the legendary vampire slayer - Hodge said. He had heard of the legendary Buffy Summers, who was a hero in the supernatural world before until after the fall of Sunnydale vampire slayers appeared

- Yes, no, I, uh... - Alec stammered.

Buffy's heart started beating faster as Hodge approached the two.

- Don't tell me anything. I don't want to report you - Hodge said and smiled at the blonde Alec. - I'll leave you with that. See you later Buffy - He said leaving.

- Bye Hodge - The blonde girl said to him.

-

- Hodge - Alec called to Hodge, who turned around. - Thank you

- You remind me of me, Alec. A loyal friend standing in the shadow of the chosen one - Hodge said making Alec sneer as the blonde watched the scene. - Don't make the same mistakes as me - Hodge told the boy and left the room, leaving Buffy and Alec alone.

Buffy left the table and stood in front of Alec. The black-haired man looked at the blonde. She smiled at him and took his hand comfortingly.

- Maybe I haven't known you very long, but maybe it's none of my business, but I've noticed you've been living in Jace's shadow. I know it's terrible, but it won't last forever. You won't talk about it with your loved ones, because you're afraid that they will laugh at you - She said with concern in her voice, looking him straight in the eye. - I think you're better than Jace. But you feel responsible for him, so you look after him even if you don't agree with him

Then Buffy was about to let go of his hand, but his grip tightened and Alec looked down at their joined hands as he intertwined his fingers with hers.
