𝟏𝟐. 𝐂𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲

After they all got out of the institute, they went to the cemetery in Simon's van. When they arrived, they went out to look for a grave.

- So who are we looking for? - Buffy asked as she slammed the van door.

- Mary Milligan born January 10, 1802 - Izzy replied. - She died January 10, 1878

- All right, Alec, let's go -Jace said as they walked through the graves.

- What are we looking for? - Clary asked.

- Chests with Mrs. Milligan

- Why are there Shadowhunter weapons in the graveyard? - Clary asked.

- Every ancient culture recognizes demons - Izzy said. - Or at least they used to.

- They forgot about the threat because we were here to protect them, - Alec said, looking around the graveyard. - Typical mundane lack of imagination

- Are you saying we've done too good a job? - Izzy asked smiling. - You just can't let go, can you?

- You know what? - Jace asked and turned to face the Lightwood siblings. - Alec, why don't you go check on the angel?

Alec rolled his eyes and started walking towards the angel.

Buffy watched Alec leave and couldn't help but want to go with him, not be around Clara, whom she hated.

- I'll go with him - Buffy told the other Shadowhunters, not casting a glance in their direction as she followed Alec.

Alec had his back to Buffy as he stared at the grave. He was silent, staring at the grave, not noticing the blonde's presence until she spoke.

- I know you don't want to be here to help Clary, so do I, but for my sister's sake I have to be here - Buffy spoke up, standing next to him.

- I know what you're talking about, since Clary's here, we've only had problems because of her - He said, looking at the girl to his left. - Buffy i thought you were staying with Jace," he added after a moment, wondering why he wasn't with Jace.

- I can't be with Clary because she pisses me off and I want to hit her - Buffy replied.

- I understand she manipulated Jace, and he hypnotically carries out all her requests - He sad, letting silence fill the air again as they both looked at each grave.

- Is everything OK? - Alec asked the girl.

- Hmm? What? Yes. Why wouldn't it be? - She replied as she stopped and looked at the raven-haired boy.

- You just seem quiet - The raven haired man replied.

- You're right most of the time I'm sassy, sarcastic and smart can't help it - The blonde stated, and Alec laughed as he continued his search for the grave. Buffy smiled, then ran over to Alec. - I'm also good at fighting and sexy - She added after a moment, winking flirtatiously at the boy before seeing the grave she was looking for.
