𝟑𝟖. 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐮𝐬' 𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜

- I thought I'd come visit to you with my friend Clary - Buffy said with a smile.

- Nice to see you, Buffy. How are you feeling? - Magnus asked Buffy.

- Let's just say it's good, although the baby gives me a hard time - Buffy replied.

- Come, let me read your friend's tarot cards - Magnus said.

- You sure a good idea? - Clary asked her.

- Yes, because he will you foretell, and then we'll talk to him about the portal - answered the blonde girl.

- Okay, I'll do it - Clary said as she and Buffy followed Magnus.

Clary sat on the chair opposite Magnus, and Buffy sat next to the red-haired girl. She watched as Magnus laid out the tarot cards on the table and had Clary choose 3 of them.

- Okay, here we go - Magnus said, and turned over the first card. - Lovers, you are in a loving relationship

- This man has a strong hold on you, you feel a magnetic connection that you can't get out of - He said as he knocked over the other one card and caught Clary's attention. - Tonight will define your relationship. You hope he's your soul mate, but the secrets revealed may tear you apart - He stated as he turned over the third card.

The blonde girl saw Clary slowly starting to walk away as she looked at the cards on the table.

- Clary! - Buffy called as she snapped the redhead out of her trance.

The blonde girl had a hard time staying focused, too, but she did her best to find the portal and Valentine.

The blonde girl saw a cat that entered the room.

- Magnus, do you have a cat? - Buffy asked surprised.

- Yes, I even have two cats! - Magnus replied with a smile as he grabbed one cat. It's Chairman Meow - He introduced the cat he held in his hands. - And this is Church - He pointed to the cat who was sitting on the couch.

Magnus put down Chairman Meow and looked at the girls.

- Listen to me Magnus, Clary and I are here because we need your help. We know you're a sorcerer - The blonde girl stated. - I'm a vampire slayer, and Clary's a shadowhunter

- A very good joke Buffy, because vampire slayers and shadowhunters haven't existed for hundreds of years - Magnus said as he packed his cards.

- Maybe in this dimension, but we're from an alternate reality - Buffy stated, and quietly told Clary to draw something to prove they were telling the truth.

- If that were true, you'd need an anchor with this world - Magnus said.
