𝟒𝟗. 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐝𝐠𝐞

After discovering that Hodge was working with Valentine, Buffy decided to disguise herself so as not to wear a wedding dress. Dawn brought her a light brown knitted skirt, matching bedspread, white tank top, and black heels. Buffy left the institute with Alec to track down Jace, who wanted to find and deal with Hodge himself. The blonde girl decided to call Luke, who informed them that they smelled Hodge near some underground skate park.

Buffy thanked Luke for the information and went with Alec to the place indicated by the wolf to stop Jace and catch Hodge. Buffy was worried about Jace, whom she treated as her best friend.

- Alec, don't worry. Jace will be fine and we'll find him. I'm worried about him too, but I know Jace can take care of you - Buffy said, feeling sorry for Alec.

- Buffy I know, I just don't want to lose him. Besides, in the weeks since Clary came here, she's complicated everyone's lives and caused us problems with the Clave. She was the reason I was going to marry Lydia, and she made things worse between us. I know this is my fault too, but I want you and I to have a good relationship for the sake of our baby. Buffy understand that I want to be a father to him and help you raise him, even if we are not together - Alec said as he stopped and looked at Buffy.

- Alec, I want the best for this child and I want to have a good relationship with you for his sake - The blonde girlstated. - Wait, do you hear that? Buffy asked when she heard grunts of fighting not too far away.

They immediately followed the noise and ran into the underground skatepark when she spotted Jace and Hodge in the middle of a fight.

She saw Jace swing the blade and Hodge dodged, then Jace kicked him square in the chest and shoved him back. Then he swung the blade again with all his might. The blonde girl heard the sound of a blade that cut skin and bone, and then a very loud scream as Hodge's severed hand fell to the ground.

Then Hodge looked at Jace as he prepared for another swing, but Alec knocked him to the ground.

- It's over Jace! - Alec shouted.

Buffy held outHodge to the ground so he can't move and escape them.

- If I were you, I wouldn't try to run because it could end badly for you - Buffy warned him.

- He's a traitor who deserves to be punishment! - Jace shouted, and Alec was still holding him down so he wouldn't lunge at Hodge.

- You almost killed him! - Alec shouted angrily.

- Maybe I should have killed him! Alec, because he sided with Valentine. We already let him go once and look where that got him - Jace shouted as he fought against Alec's grip.

- What are you going to do? You're going to kill every former member of the circle, even our parents? - Alec asked, and then Jace grabbed Alec's arm and looked him in the eye.

- Robert and Maryse are not my parents - Jace hissed.
