Buffy and Clary watched as Jace's father stood up. Buffy didn't want to say anything, but she had a feeling that this man was hiding something, and he wasn't who he claimed to be.

- Dad? - Jace asked as he hugged him.

- Not Jace, it's me - The man stated as he grabbed Jace's face and forced him to meet his eyes.

Jace's father looked at Buffy and Clary, who looked very confused.

- I'm Micheal Wayland, Jace's father. Look, I know what Jace told you, but I've been trapped here for ten years - Michael said.

- And what happened to my mother? Jocelyn Fairchild? - Clary asked.

- Valentine took her with him - Michael replied. - And who are you?

- I'm Clary, her daughter - Clary said.

- I'm Buffy Summers - The blonde girl introduced herself.

Jace fell and Michael and Clary ran to catch him.

The blonde girl held Jace up as Clary lifted his shirt and Michael ran the stele over the rune. Michael had a sad face.

- What is wrong? - Clary asked, panicking.

- Ravener's venom is spreading, so we need to help him - Buffy stated.

- The portal is closed! - Clary cried.

- Valentine has a standing portal - Michael replied as he put his arm around Jace to keep him from falling. Clary put her arm around Jace's as well.
