"You did your shit out there! I knew my son would be great!" Damien yelled, patting Akia's back quite hard. Akia gave a small smile in response to the compliment while mumbling a thank-you to his parents. His first game was over, and his team had won surprisingly. Their team isn't the worst, but it's definitely not the best.
"Who are you looking for?" Rory asked. Akia shrugged his shoulders and continued to look for Khalan—and also Tyra.
A huge smile creeped on his face when he saw the two walking down the stairs and in their direction. Rory and Shayla subtlety rolled their eyes at the sight of their son's girlfriend. Tyra ran and jumped into Akia's arms, giving him a kiss.
"You were so good out there, baby!"
"Thank you, Hi Khalan." Akia smiled at the older man while holding Tyra in his arms.
"Hey, lil nigga- oh my fault," Khalan forgot about the parents. Akia placed Tyra back on her feet before turning to his parents. "This is Khalan, Tyra's older brother."
Rory and Shayla smiled, saying hello. "Akia has been telling us about you; it's nice to meet you." Rory smiled. Both Khalan and Tyra scrunched their faces up before dropping it. Both were confused about what Akia could possibly have to say about Khalan.
Damien dapped Khalan up. "You play any sports?" He asked Khalan. Khalan shook his head. He used to run track, but that only lasted a year, he was not cut out for the athlete life.
Tyra nudged Akia annoyed with the fact that he hasn't introduced her to his father yet. Akia mumbled a sorry while grabbing Tyra by her waist to pull her even closer than she already was. "Dad, this is my girlfriend, Tyra."
"I see you, son. It's nice to meet you, Tyra. I'm Damien."

"Why you not going to the afterparty?" Khalan asked Akia as they got into the older's car.
Akia shrugged his shoulders. "I don't feel like sitting there while everyone else enjoys themselves."
There was an afterparty, and he wasn't in the mood to go. He didn't want to sit there doing nothing, so he declined. Tyra wanted to go, but originally Akia and Tyra had agreed to go on a date after the game.
Tyra was a bit pissed that Akia wouldn't go with her, but she was going to go regardless. Akia's parents were going on their own date to talk some things out which Akia didn't mind because he knew that they still needed to clear some things up. But Akia still didn't want to be home by himself so he decided to ask Khalan if he could hang around him.
Khalan was going to say no because he had plans with his nephew, but then he figured he could let him tag along so CJ would have someone else's ear to talk off.
It's CJ's birthday tomorrow, and when Taija asked what he wanted to do, he begged her to let him spend the day with Khalan. Chris told him no over and over again, but Taija ended up convincing the man. They ended up agreeing that CJ could stay the night, but the next day they'd have a birthday dinner at Khalan's house.
"Why you telling your people's about me?" Khalan changed the subject while he started to make his way on the highway. Akia blushed. "I don't know. I blurted it out. I'm sorry."
"I don't care, lil nigga, but we not even dating yet."
"Yet?!" Akia asked. Khalan chuckled at the reaction. "I'm fucking with you." Khalan then thought to himself. "You ever met Taija?"
"I've talked on FaceTime with her when Tyra calls, but I never actually met her. She seems really nice, though."
"You think Tyra nice?" Khalan asked out of curiosity. Akia shrugged his shoulders. She wasn't mean to him, however, he did witness how she could be when she was angry, but that was always towards Khalan, who is her sibling. So can that really count?
