I only need her finances, her money, nothing else.
This is what I keep telling myself, knowing full well I'm in deep trouble. To make matters worse, now I find myself in this 'beneficial' arrangement. Her hands are exploring my body, sending a strange warmth that comforts and annoys me simultaneously. Part of me wants to push her away, yet at the same time I find comfort in the feeling she evokes within me.
The tender touch of her lips against my neck makes my heart race and I don't know why. I hesitantly bring my hands up to her shoulders to keep her from pushing me down onto the table. My eyes dart towards the door and i freeze as it slowly creaks open, revealing a familiar figure - Lea.
"Hey Estelle, you forgot your—" My heart skips a beat when she turns her gaze upon me with Fedorov and I can't help but feel like I want to just disappear into thin air.
"Am i interrupting something..?"
"No!"
"Yes."
Me and Fedorov reply in unison, her voice cold and deep. She is ready to hurl Lea out of the window, her face radiating malice and rage. It's a sight that turns stone to dust. Lea attempts to decipher some clue from my confused gaze, and I can't help but exhale a sigh of frustration.
"What is.." Lea mutters before Fedorov interrupts her and looks at me.
"I'm not done with you yet, Sparky." She takes hold of my jaw and lifts my head up so I meet her gaze. "Don't try anything funny or leave the city because I'll find you. One. Way. Or. The. Other." Her voice sounds like a low growl, each word dripping with menace. It's clear that she won't tolerate any games. A chill runs down my spine when I realize that there is no escaping from her grasp, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try.
She leaves my apartment, leaving me alone with Lea. The atmosphere in my apartment shifts from an intense tension to a palpable unease, a stiflingly uncomfortable silence filling the room.
"Thanks for—"
"What the hell was that Estelle!?" Lea raises her voice in shock cutting me off. Her face looks like an angry yet confused mother and i thought she was gonna put me in the naughty corner. "What on earth was.. why of all people was Fedorov in your apartment!?"
I cross my arms in despair, trying to think of a way to explain the situation and not knowing where to start. I fidget nervously with my hands, not wanting to meet her gaze as I hunt for the right words.
"I.. what did I leave at the club?" I desperately try to change the subject. Lea hands me a bracelet of mine and looks up at me with a firm expression.
"Don't try to change the subject. You forgot your bracelet. Now, spill it." I lean back against the table for a moment before I push myself off and walk over towards the couch instead.
"It's.. complicated." I utter softly, feeling the cushions of the couch embrace my back.
"Try me." Lea replies and sits down next to me. "Estelle, I know I said you should take this chance so you can help out your parents a bit and yourself." She looks at me with concern filling her eyes. "But I didn't mean that you had throw yourself at her."
I put my phone on the living room table in front of us and nod. "I know, I know." I sigh. "What else do you want me to do Lea?" I brush my hands through my hair in frustration. "It's not as if I can make money appear out of thin air. Fedorov can. She coughs it up for fuck sakes."
