»»-----¤-----««Estelle's Pov»»-----¤-----««

4 months later.

"Hey Estelle, wait up!" As I walk down the hallway, a classmate of mine shouts my name and rushes over, struggling to keep a grip on the stack of books she's carrying. "Goodness."

"Hey, what's up?" I laugh amused and wait for her to catch her breath.

"Please tell me you got the notes of Mr.Klerc's class? If so, can I please have them so I can copy them?" Walking alongside me through the corridors of the academy, she lets out a sigh. "I did make some myself, but my god, the way Mr.Klerc speaks even puts a lullaby to shame."

"You're not wrong." We share a laugh, I find myself in complete agreement with her. We reach the entrance of the academy and casually descend the stairs, stepping out of the building. The academy boasts an exquisite and genuine charm, evoking a sense of being transported to the prestigious halls of the University of Oxford.

"So what are your plans for the weekend?"

I pucker my lips and make a pensive 'hmm' noise while deep in thought. "I don't know, but something tells me I'll figure something out as long as I can relax." I chuckle.

"Well, whatever makes you happy, I suppose!" We burst into laughter, and I can't help but shake my head in amusement, joining her in the moment. It's hard to believe that I'm actually standing here, as if time has flown by in the blink of an eye. It feels like just yesterday when I was dancing and entertaining at the Pink Rose, shaking my body with all my might. Micha, although upset, was genuinely happy for me to have another opportunity at this new chapter in my life. However, the only concern that lingers in my mind is leaving Lea behind in that dreadful place. I know Micha is there to keep her safe, but still.

"Don't worry about it, girl, I'll be fine! Besides, I'll be out of here soon myself and then we can hang out again!"

The echoes of her words linger in my thoughts, relentlessly tormenting me with a wave of remorse. Initially, I felt a sense of selfishness for prioritizing my own needs, but Lea's comforting words provided solace, assuring me that I was making the correct decision.

Once I obtain my degree, I am determined to shower her with abundant affection and care. Ever since the Pink Rose, she has been my unwavering support, my pillar of strength. Undoubtedly, she, too, deserves an opportunity for a second chance.

While holding a conversation with my classmate, my attention gets diverted by the sound of a notification on my phone. Without hesitation, I grab my device and discover a text message from none other than Lea.

Ha, talk about the angel.

"Hey babe! Some moron at the Pink Rose managed to break the bar in a chain fight, so Micha is giving us off until it's fixed! You know what that means! ;)"

Her text brings a smirk to my face, flooding me with an overwhelming sense of pure joy from her words.

"Definitely! I'll see you later!" I send my reply, a sense of tranquility envelops the campus. However, the peaceful atmosphere is soon shattered by the booming beats of provocative music drawing closer and closer.

"God, what attention hungry idiot is that?" My classmate's face contorts with disapproval. I'm tempted to side with her, but my eyes widen in surprise as the individual steps out of the luxurious car, clad in an extravagant suit, sporting sunglasses, and casually lighting up a cigarette.

That would be my idiot..

I sigh deeply and catch sight of the flamboyant figure, I can't help but roll my eyes and wave my classmate off. I walk towards the person in question with a glare written all over my face. "Haven't I told you to quit picking me up with that horrendous music!?" I scoff.
