I can't believe how quickly the time has flown by. Before I know it, it's time to head off to Neon Mortis. I'm trying not to think too much about it - after all, this is just a favor for Micha's business partner. That said, I'm undeniably curious to meet them; there's no denying that.

I push my way through the throng of people on the sidewalk, glancing at my phone screen to check the time. 5 o'clock - just in time. The thought calms me a bit, and I quicken my pace as I make my way towards my destination. Seeing the building of Neon Mortis in the daylight has a different atmosphere compared to when it's lit up in the night. As I approach the entrance, I'm taken aback when my eyes fall on an empty spot where the bouncer usually stands. I was certain he'd be here during the day too, but it looks like I was wrong.

I saunter through the door and take in my surroundings. The club has a surprisingly welcoming atmosphere during the day, with none of the illegal activities or criminals that usually are present at night. I'm impressed by how different it looks in broad daylight. I make my way towards the bar where i try my best to catch the attention of the bartender.

"Hello, Excuse me!" I smile and give him a small wave catching his attention. He strolls over towards me and adjusts his sleeves of his black chemise.

"Hello Miss, How can i help you?" His voice is soft and warm, I feel immediately at ease. He looks like the type of guy who would be a loyal friend no matter what.

"I'm Estelle Beaufort," I say. "My boss Michael from the Pink Rose told me your boss is in need of some extra help with waitressing tonight?" His face immediately changes into a wide smile, almost as if he's relieved.

"Oh thank the fucking heavens!" I can't help but be startled by his reaction. I laugh and raise my brow in curiosity. "That bad, huh?"

"You have absolutely no idea, it's been horrible the last couple days. Most of the waitresses just quit on the spot lately." I frown and sit down on the barstool in front of the counter.

"Why?" I ask.

"You tell me, customers that can't keep their hands to themselves. Waitresses that struggle to cope when it's happy hour and the place is buzzing." Judging by his response, I assume he's referring to the night-time customers of Neon Mortis. Right now, during the day, there isn't a hint of stress or busyness in here.

"I see, i'm used to quite a bit from in the Pink Rose. I'm sure i can manage for tonight." I shoot him a reassuring smile and he sighs in relief.

"That'd be wonderful, because we really need the help. This isn't a strip club like the Pink Rose, so you'll get your attire from the boss later on." He smiles.

Thank god! I think to myself and survey the area. To be fair, the furniture and overall atmosphere of Neon Mortis is more intimidating than the Pink Rose. Understandable, really.

"Ah, you must be my knight in shining armor for tonight!" A loud yet charming voice echoes through the room and I turn my head to see Micha's business partner walking towards me. He cut an impressive figure, dressed to the nines. Certainly a departure from Micha's typical style of clothing. His suits were of a noticeably higher quality, a stark contrast when placed side-by-side with Micha's wardrobe. Sorry, Micha..
