»»-----¤-----««Estelle's Pov»»-----¤-----««

The sound of the door slamming closed reverberates in the bathroom. It takes me a few moments to come out of my bewildered daze over what just occurred.

What the hell is up with her suddenly?

I exhale in frustration as I wrap a towel around myself, staring at my reflection in the mirror. I'm frustrated that she's so angry with me for wanting her injuries to heal. I despise that I have feelings for her when she clearly does not feel the same way about me.

After a few minutes, I get dressed and return to my living room. Mallory is there smoking on my couch, not even glancing in my direction. Ignoring me. I won't lie, it feels like a sharp stab in my chest. Usually her eyes follow me no matter where I go, even when it bothers me. I shake my head to push away my anxious thinking and walk to the kitchen. First she was so emotional and angry and now she's suddenly completely different.

Did she flip a switch or something?

I sigh. Don't get comfortable Estelle, she's agreed to stay for a couple days longer but that's it. Afterwards she's just going to leave you.

My eyes look up at the kitchen counter where i left my wine glass. A quiet groan of defeat escapes my lips, but when I look back to Mallory in the living room, I'm surprised to see her standing near one of my bookshelves.

What is she..

I don't say word and decide to watch her in silence. Her body language seems... different. Mallory paces back and forth in front of my bookshelves, making me furrow my brows in confusion. Im a bit taken aback when she abruptly stops and turns to my bedroom.

What the—

I carefully make my way over as well and peek into my room to see her standing in the middle of it with her arms crossed. I narrow my eyes as she walks a few steps closer towards the mirror that is directly across from my bed. Mallory tilts her head a little, but her expression is blank and expressionless. I can't detect any emotions, however one thing does catch my attention.

Is she.. searching for something?

I can't take my eyes off of her, I'm curious what she's searching for in my bedroom mirror. Mallory moves closer to the mirror, examining it carefully. Her behavior is really starting to make me uncomfortable.

"Looking for something?" I break the unsettling silence. Mallory turns her head towards me in such an slow yet eerie calm manner it makes shiver run down my spine.

Fuck sake, can she stop being so creepy.

"Not at all, just appreciating your interior decorating abilities Sparky." She says in a monotone manner. "It's exactly what I thought, dreadful."

"Hey!" I shout, offended, and fold my arms across my chest. "Well it's a better comparison to your penthouse that resembles a mortuary." I hiss. "Wouldn't be surprised if the Adam's Family would show up."

My comments didn't even seem to faze her. She just turns her head back to the mirror inspecting it.

God she gives me the creeps when she does this..

"Okay, whatever. Do you need anything? Maybe we can look at your stitches?" I ask leaning against the doorframe of my room. "Your busted lip seems to be healing fine."

"Would be healing faster if you'd kiss me Sparky." She blatantly replies startling me. In response I sigh rolling my eyes and turn to the living room again leaving her to stare at the mirror.
