Next Morning

Two pairs of feet were intertwined with nude bodies underneath the sheets. Dwight's arms were draped over Ramona's waist, while her hand was on top of his.
He gave her hand a single kiss, a smug grin plastered onto his face. Ramona awakened from feeling his lips, then drowsily releasing a hum before turning to look up at him. "Good morning, ma'am." He mumbled. She smiled, then closing her eyes, enjoying the kisses her placed onto her skin. "I'm surprised you woke up first. You seemed to be more worn out than I was." She said. He let out a single chuckle, then kissing her shoulder.
Ramona turning her arm to ruffling her fingers through his hair. "I wasn't as worn out as the headboard was." Dwight joked, and Ramona playfully ripped her eyes. "Ha. Ha." She replied. "So that's what you think about doing when you see my feet..." She said. "Some of them, yes..." He said. "Ugh, you were like an animal..." Ramona murmured, making Dwight bite his lip and playfully nip at her ear, making a light growling imitation from his mouth.
Ramona chuckled. "Only your animal." He said. Ramona rolled her eyes. "Oh, God..." She groaned. Suddenly, a loud banging at the front door made both of their eyes shoot open in alarm. They separated, and Ramona sat up.
"Who is that?" She asked in surprise. "Oh my god, it might be the neighbors...!" Ramona said. "The neighbors? How? They aren't that close to you- Their homes are at least ten feet away from mine, Dwight. They probably heard you- Heard me?- You're ten times louder than I am." Ramona said, flattening her lips. Dwight looked away. "I blame you..." He said.
Before Ramona could speak again, the banging on the door occurred again. "Oh my god, we need to hurry up and get dressed!"

Ramona opened the front door quickly, standing tall in a dark red robe. Her face dropped once she saw the face of the man at the front door. "Surprised you even answered the door." He said. "D-David? What are you doing here?" She asked, and be brushed by her.
"What am I doing here? None of us have seen you in almost a year and you're asking me why I'm here?!" He shouted. "Calm down- Calm down? You're stressing us all out!- How?" The two of them went back and forth, and that's when Dwight came out of the bedroom dressed in a tank top and black shorts.
The two men paused once seeing each other. David pointed at him. "Oh, I see." He said. "David, it's not like that- So this is the reason you haven't been coming around? To see me? Or to see anyone?! Because of some guy?" David said. Dwight furrowed his eyebrows, walking up to stand next to Ramona.
"Now hold on, what the hell are you talking about? I'm not just some 'guy' and I'm definitely not keeping her away from anybody. Now who the hell are you, anyway?" Dwight asked. "I don't need to explain myself to you." Said David. "Excuse me?" Dwight said. Ramona shut them up. "Hey..! Stop bickering like kids, and listen to what I have to say." She demanded.
Both men got silent, staring at her. She pointed at Dwight while speaking to David. "This is Dwight. He is not just some 'guy', we're a couple. Now, Dwight. This is David. He's my younger brother. Dwight isn't keeping me away from anyone." Said Ramona. "So you're staying away on your own." Said David.
"No, I'm just busy and you know that- don't you think I'm busy too? I have a child. A wife. A family of my own. I know what it feels like to be busy too Ramona. But I can still find time to see the people who are important to me. I'm tired of reminding you to pay attention to your loved ones. Dad's getting worse and once it's too late, don't come around at all." Said David.
"What do you mean he's getting worse?" He asked. "He had a heart attack, Ramona." Said David. "What?" Ramona asked, her face dropping. "Yeah, he did. And he's bedridden for the time being." Said David. "How did that happen?" Ramona asked. "They haven't figured it out yet. But this is the first time he's had a health scare this bad. Many of the family knows about it." Said David.
Ramona's face softened. "I just came to let you know. If you come around then so be it. But I need to go to the airport." He said, brushing by her towards the door. "Why?" Asked Ramona. David turned to face her. "Because mom is coming." He said.
"What?!" Ramona asked.

Ramona sat in the front seat of the car, her arms crossed and a look of anger on her face while she sat outside of the third terminal at O'Hare airport.
She advised that Dwight not come with, even though he insisted. However, she felt that this wasn't the right time nor the right way to meet her parents for the first time.
David looked over at her, noticing her simmering frustration. "Don't hold a grudge, Ramona. There are bigger problems right now- You know what she did. She shouldn't even show her face." Said Ramona. "Do you know how many years it's been since we've seen her?" Ramona asked. David sighed.
Suddenly, David could see a woman coming out of the airport doors with multiple large bright red luggages following behind her. Ramona not only was struggling to speak because of not seeing her for so long, but because of the amount of bags she had. "There she is.." Said David.
"How long is she staying?" Ramona asked. "She said she's staying until...he gets better..." Said David. Ramona narrowed her eyes. The woman was tall, with long legs and stilettos on. Her hair was straightened down her back with streaks of black and grey. Her features were strong, and she wore a long black jacket over an all white pantsuit. She took over her black luxury shades, then squinting.
She smiled once seeing David getting out of the car. Her arms opened, she hugged him tightly. "Oh, David! My baby! I've missed you so much, it's so good to see you!" She said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "The last time she's seen him was three years ago." Ramona mumbled.
"Help me with my bags, will you hun? I appreciate it." She said. He nodded, doing so. "He's such a mama's boy." Ramona muttered. Once her mother got into the backseat, that's when she noticed Ramona sitting in the front. Both of their strong eyes stared in silence at one another. "Oh." Said her mother. "Ramona." She said as a greeting. "Rochelle." Ramona replied.
The women didn't say anything more to one another. Ramona could see her mother looking her up and down from the back seat. She then pursed her lips, and put on her shades. A thump from the trunk made Rochelle speak to David. "Careful, honey! You know mommy's things are very expensive!" She said. He nodded. Ramona rolled her eyes. "This is going to be hell." She thought to herself.
