"Yes, the foundation of the building is going to start being constructed in a week." Said Ramona into the cell phone, speaking to the the city regarding the construction plans. "Did you get my contract regarding the building?" She asked. A few moments later she nodded, smiling. "No worries, I understand how busy this city can get. Oh, no it's fine. I appreciate you just wanting to make sure. Yes, I can send over a few more copies if needed." She said, waving her hand at Mary, who stood nearby and immediately began to get to work on her iPad to fulfill Ramona's request.
"Alright, it'll be coming over to you shortly. Have a nice day." She said, then ending the call. She sighed the moment it ended, taking her feet off of her desk. "I don't understand why there's always some sort of complication with this city. I understand how we have almost as many people as New York, but I'm the president of Elevait for god's sake. I designed the vast majority of this city." She said, shaking her head. "I understand, Ms. Davis. I have also..." While Mary spoke, Ramona found herself reluctantly coming out into her thoughts.
As surprising as it was, she couldn't help thinking back to what she witnessed last night. The situation between she and Dwight. she just kept thinking about when he came out of the bathroom and introduced himself as an entirely different identity.
"I do...puppyplay..."
Ramona wasn't even familiar with that sort of kink except for the fact that it involves dressing up as dogs, as Dwight explained. But just how, and what could cause a person to want to do something like that?"
"Um, Ms. Davis?" Asked Mary. Ramona snapped her head up, fluttering her eyes and focussing on her assistant. "Yes?" She asked. "Are you alright?" Mary asked. "Oh, yes of course. I was just lost in my thoughts for a moment." She said. Mary nodded. "Oh...-Mary, do you mind if I ask you a non-work related question. Preferably, a personal question?" Ramona asked. Marys' eyes widened slightly, surprised by the fact that her boss brought up the idea. She's always known that she never spoke about personal life while at work.
"Y-yes, of course." Said Mary. Ramona looked at her. "You're young. You're...familiar with the dating scene. So, let me ask you, what would you do if you were talking to someone, you're dating and everything is going great, and then you suddenly find out that they're interested in something odd -not illegal or harming anyone- but it's...different. But they are perfect for you in terms of everything else. Would you leave, or stay with them?" She asked.
Mary pushed up her glasses, curling her lips. "Oh, um...well lets see..." She trailed off, taking a few moments to think. "I think that I would stay with them." She said. "Really?" Asked Ramona. "Why?" She continued. "Well, if I have already fallen for that person, and they have an interest in something safe but new to me, I think that the quality of the person is more important. Often times you can learn to like a partners interests with time. But if you also are not interested at all, perhaps you can still be with them while allowing them to enjoy it themselves or with others. That is just my opinion, Ms. Davis." Said Mary.
Ramona turned her head, thinking for a moment. "Hm...Interesting..." She said. She said she was always the type to prefer the qualities and personality of a person above other things, depending on what it was. But in this case, she felt it was a little more complex, and she highly assumed that Mary might have had an entirely different opinion of she had known the details of the situation. But nonetheless, there's always a possibility that she wouldn't have.
