Roxy's Chapter:

Buzzzz! My alarm went off two days later. My head was pounding, the taste of throw up fresh in my mouth. I rolled over with a moan, slamming my hand on the snooze.

“Rox?” Grace popped her head into the room. “How are you feeling?”

With another moan, I told her I would be up in a minute. My foster mom rushed over to my bed. “I don't think so.” She pressed her cold hand to my forehead. “You, young lady are staying home.”

I didn't even try to get out of bed. I nodded my head ever so slightly before rolling over again. When I heard Grace close the door, I pulled out my cell.

No lunch today, home sick. I sent Ross a quick message before resting my head back onto the pillow. I felt my phone buzz next to my head, but I was just to sick to even care.

~~~
Two hours later, I was trudging out to the living room. I had my blanket wrapped around me. I grabbed the laptop off the coffee table and flicked the tv on.
While both loaded, I checked my cell phone. I had a bunch of text from various friends.
Where are you?! - Noah
:( Can't believe you left me with Noah. Haha, jk. WHERE ARE YOU?! – Connor
You better be here tomorrow young lady! - Danny
I laughed at my friends. I knew they were messing around with me. I sent them each a quick text, just letting them know I'm alive.
A high pitched ding on my phone reminded me that I never checked the last text from Ross. When I opened it, I couldn't help but smile to myself. He was so sweet!
:( Wish I could fly over there and make you feel better. Mentally sending you a bowl of chicken soup and some tea. Feel better babe <3>
After talking to him for a while, I went to the kitchen to make myself some tea while the latest We Are the in Crowd video played on the tv.
I danced my way back to the couch, snggling up in the blankets. I pulled my laptop onto my lap and hit the video app.
“Hey guys! Roxy here!” I eagerly said into the camera. “Just wanted to stop by and tell you guys thank you. Thank you for all the support, couldn't do it with out our lovely fans. And I am proud to say that the band has been writing new songs, and playing more gigs. And hopefully getting our music out there. Love ya guys! Bye!”
I know it wasn't much, but it was something. I was just so tired. I uploaded the video to youtube. I switched over to twitter, only to be blown away! I had three hundred new followers! What's going on?!
In the corner of my page, I noticed that there was a new mention. When I clicked on it, I couldn't help but smile.
@rossR5: Sending love to my baby @RoxHill. Wish I was with you :( Feel better! <3
Aw!!! I scanned down the list of mentions, all of them making me smile. I closed the laptop and turned on some random show before falling back asleep on the couch.
~~~

Ding dong. I opened my eyes slowly, trying to figure out what's going on. Ding song.

Oh, it's the door bell. I knew that...

I wrapped the blanket around my body and walked over to the front door. When I opened them, I saw a blond women, no older than 35, standing there with a smile on her face. “Um, hi,” I was very confused.

She smiled softly at me. “Just let me get a good look at you. I haven't seen you in almost seventeen years.”

I squinted my eyes at her. “Do I know you?”

She looked down embarrassed. “I'm sorry.” She stretched out her hand. “I'm Tiffany Tisdale. An old friend of Grace.” She tried to look past me. “Is she home?”

“No, but she'll be home in a few – achoo!” I covered my mouth. “Oh, sorry. Grace'll be home in a few minutes for lunch if you want to come inside.”

Tiffany nodded her head eagerly. I opened the front door wider so she could follow me into the house. I walked back over to the couch, snuggling into my blanket. Tiffany sat in the chair across from me. “So, Roxy, tell me how life's going?”

“Good. Family's good, friend's are awesome. School's fine.” I sipped the last of my tea. “Boyfriend's amazing.” I smiled to myself.

Tiffany smiled at me. “Here, let me get you some more tea.” She stood up, about to grab my cup.

“No, you don't have to do that.” I tried to protest, but she was quick to cut me off. As she walked into the kitchen, I rested my head for a fraction of a second.

I guess it was more than that cause as I faded in and out of sleep, I felt Tiffany running her fingers through my long blond hair. It felt so nice, I finally fell asleep.

I heard the front door open, Grace must be home. “Hey, Rox, u brought you some – who are you?!”

My eyes sprung open. I looked over to Grace. She was very mad. “Isn't she your friend?” I asked with confusion.

My foster mom shook her head. “I've never seen this women in my life.” She turned to Tiffany. “I'm going to ask you one more time before I call the cops. Who are you?!”

I slowly walked over to Grace, who was gripping her cell phone. We were both staring at the women in our living room. She smiled at me. “Roxy, I'm your mother.”
