Chapter Forty-Three:

Ross' Point of View:

“I'm so glad the director decided to cut early.” Laura sighed as walked out of the studio together.

“You and me both.” I smirked. “I just wanna go home and sleep!” I threw my hands up in the air, laughing.

She gave me a hug when we got to our cars. I drove home with Roxy's mixtape playing in my cd player. Currently Sleeping with Sirens were blaring through my speakers.

When I got home, I parked my car in the garage and walked in through the back door of the house. I stopped when I heard a voice in the living room. I pressed myself to the wall, trying to figure out who's in my house. I turned the corner and saw Sunny sitting on my couch. With a sigh of relief I was about to walk in when I heard something that made me stop.

“Okay, I'm on.” She said, holding on to her laptop . “What's going on? Why are you crying?”

Who is she talking to? “I saw Ross today.”

Of course it would be Roxy...

Sunny sighed. “Oh, honey. Are you okay?”

I cranked my head to see my ex girlfriend on the screen. She was shaking her head. “No, gosh, Sunny. I am such a mess! I thought I was going to be able to get over him. But I can't!” I looked in her background. “Wait, where are you?”

“I'm at Rocky's house.” I retreated back to my hiding place behind the wall, I wanna hear what Roxy has to say. “Don't worry. Nobody's home! I swear. They are all at the set. I promise.”

My family was at the set? News to me. Whatever, back to the conversation.

“Can I tell you something?” Sunny nodded her head. “On the night of prom, I was ready to fly out to go see Ross. And just as I was about leave, Ross came on the stage.”

“So what happened?” Sunny demanded to know. “Why didn't you get back with him?” Yeah, why not?!

“When I saw the girls screaming and yelling for him, I remembered why I broke up with him in the first place.” Roxy was full out crying out.

“And why is that?” Sunny's voice was soft.

“Cause he was always so busy. Ross was always working and I felt like he never had time to for me. Gosh, I know I sound so selfish, but I can't get over it.”

“What do you want him to do? Give up his job.” Sunny challenged. “It's not like he can drop everything. It's his job.”

Roxy shook her head, looking down with shame. “No. I would never want to do that to him. I know how much it means to him. And that's why I turned him down at prom. I don't want either of us to get hurt. Not again.”

Sunny nodded her head with understanding, I understood. “And is that why you're getting together with Cameron?”

Ah, Cameron, boy wonder I thought to myself. “I don't know. He's just helping me get over Ross. But he's not doing so great.” She gave a dry laugh. “But I'm working on it.”

“Okay, sweetie.” Sunny looked over to the door when it opened. “Hey guys!” She turned back to Rox. “They're home. I'll talk to you later.”

“Thanks babe.” I heard Roxy call out when Sunny ended the call.

Rocky jumped onto his girlfriend, giving her a kiss. While she was detracted, I made my way over to my other brothers and sister who were walking in.
