Ross' Point of View

On the flight back to Puerto Rico, I rested my head on the window, watching the sun set over to the ocean.

“Stop it.” A young women giggled from the seat in front of me. I looked up to see the man next to her was tickling her with a giant smile on his face. “Jake, stop it.” More giggles.

“Never.” He joked back, pressing his lips to her cheek. “We're married now, you're mine. Forever and always.” My heart sank. I don't want to hear anything about love! No more, I just can't take it.

I rested my head back on the window. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the words to stop ringing in my ears. Maybe we should break up! I can see the distressed on her face, the tears running from her green eyes.

I am such an idiot, to let the only girl I could ever see myself settling down with go. I know I hurt her, and that kills me.

When the plane finally sets down in Puerto Rico, I grab my things and flag down a taxi. It wasn't long after that I was pulling into the hotel's driveway. I paid the taxi man and got out of the yellow car. Only to be ambushed by my older sister.

“How did it go?” She grinned like a fool. I shook my head. Her face dropped. “Oh, Ross, what happened?”
I started to walk into the resort. “I really don't feel like talking about it, Delly.” Before she could say anything I walked into my hotel room and went straight to my bed.

I didn't say hi to any of my family members, instead I decided to play the jet lag card and went straight to bed.

Or at least I tried to. It was so hard to sleep when you can hear everybody talking about you five feet away.

“Do you know what's going on?” Riker asked someone.

“No, Sunny hasn't told me anything.” Rocky exclaimed. “I could try calling her again.” I heard heavy foot steps towards the balcony.

“I could try calling Maia, maybe she could help get him talking.” Rydel piped. Riker must have nodded his head cause I heard my sister starting to call my co star.

“Hey, Maia, sorry to call so late, but do you think you can come over?” She started, then paused. “Well, it's Ross. We were thinking maybe you could talk to him since he's not talking to anybody else.” Another pause. “Okay, thanks. See you in a few.”

Great, just great. That's exactly what I need right now. Another girl I screwed things up with. I knew I shouldn't have kissed her that night. I have no idea what I was doing! I yelled to myself over and over again.

I heard my older brother walking back from the balcony with a deep sigh. “Well, I know why the kid's upset. Roxy broke up with him.”

I heard Rydel sigh. “That's what I was afraid of. Did Sunny say why they broke up?”
“It was a mess of things. They were already on a break, but I guess we already knew that. Well, our genius over here kissed someone else. While they were in the middle of a fight, Ross let it slip. Roxy broke up with him.”

“But they were having problems before, so it's not all Ross' fault.” Riker tried to defend me.

“But for him to go kissing another girl, I would break up with him too.” Rydel scoffed. “How could he do that to her, especially after everything she's going through.”
“I didn't say I was proud of him, I just said we can't pin point the problem to Ross. She was to blame to.” Riker exclaimed. And it sounded like he was going to go on talking, but there was a knock on the door causing everything to stop...including my heart.

Rocky opened the door for my co star. “Hey, Maia. Thanks for coming.”

I hid my head under my pillow, like that's gonna help much. They talked for a few minutes before someone came walking over to my bed. “Ross.” I heard the australian accent in my right ear. She tried to shake me. I just groaned, trying to push her away. “Ross Shor, wake up.” Her voice was hard. I sighed and rolled out of bed. “Get up, go get a drink of water.”
