Ross' Point of View

Yes! She said yes!

After I dropped her off at her house, I drove back to my house with a huge smile on my face.

“What's the matter with him?” I heard someone murmur when I plopped onto the couch.

“Hey Ross,” Rydel said in a sing song voice as she sat next to me. “What's going on?”

I rolled over to face my older sister. “I just got a date with the best girl ever!”

With a squeak she threw her arms around me. “Roxy said yes?” I nodded my head, still too shook to say anything. Rydel hit my arm. “Well tell me what happened!”

At this point all my brothers had gathered around, wanting to know what happened. “I went over to my old friend's house. You guys remember Pierce right?” They nodded their heads. “And when I got to his house, she was there! So we all talked for a little while. Their band did a song for me and than I drove her home.”

“How'd you ask her?” Rocky questioned.

I looked to my older brother. “Well, I didn't go all out with a pool and all my siblings, it was simple. I just asked her if she wanted to go out with me and she said yes.”

“Who said yes to what?” My dad asked when he walked into the house, a pile of mail in his hands.

“Ross asked a girl out.” Riker announced. But my dad wasn't really listening, he was going through the mail. Than he pulled out an envelope and held it up for all of us to see. Riker grinned. “IS that what I think it is?”

“Tickets to go see All Time Low?” My dad smirked. “Why yes, yes it is!” All my brothers and sister ran over to my dad to get a better look at the envelope.

I looked to them with a sad smile. “How much would you hate me if I brought Roxy to the concert too?”

My dad rested his hand on my shoulder, a smile on his face. “She can have my ticket.” I grinned like a fool and wrapped my arms around my dad.

“Thank you! Thank you!” I squealed. Yes, I am a sixteen year old boy and I squealed.

“I'll just see you guys at the concert?” I asked Riker as we started to get into our cars.

“Nope, I have no idea who you are.” He responded with a wink. “Have good time on your date Ross.” And with that all my siblings were in the car and down the street.

I hopped into my car, turned on the radio, and cruised down to Roxy house. I jumped out of the car and started to walk up to her front door. But she beat me, when I got to the door, she was already walking down the walkway. “Ready to go?” I asked, holding out my hand for her.

“You know it.” She smiled, slipping her hand into mine. Together we walked to my car and started to make our way to the concert.

“Where are we going?” Roxy asked with a beautiful smile on her face. She had her blond hair pulled into a tight ponytail, while she wore a simple white shirt and some blue skinny jeans.

“It's a surprise.” I said mischievously as we drove downtown into the city.

“What? Come on, you can tell me.” She joked with me. “I won't tell anybody.”
