Chapter 3: Different

It's been a week since Minji has met Hanni and the two girls have been inseparable ever since.

"Hey Hanni," Hyein said with a smirk, the pretty girl was part of Hanni's immense friendship circle, to be honest, she was probably friends with everyone in the school. "Where's that tall girlfriend of yours?"

"Stop Hyein!" Hanni playfully nudged the girl as she fell back. "She's not my girlfriend!" She started getting all defensive about her and Minji's relationship, making Hyein suspect even more whether something is going on between them. Even though Hanni wanted to deny her allegation, she was enjoying every second of the attention of the idea of her getting shipped with Minji.

"Then why are you blushing?" Hyein asked, pinching the smaller girl's cheeks as Hanni smacked her hand off, then putting her palms over her cheeks, covering the pink stain that has found its way there after hearing Hyein suggest she and Minji are something more than friends.

"It's just... very hot!" Hanni quickly lied and found an excuse.

Sure, Minji was pretty, and tall, and hot. Also it doesn't help that she's rich as well. Hanni thought to herself as she snapped the thought out of her head: No! She's my friend! I flirt with every pretty girl, it's normal. She tried persuading herself. But the more she let her mind do the talking, the more her heart wanted to tell her otherwise as she could feel her heart beating faster just thinking of Kim Minji.

Just then, someone smacked the back of Hanni's head, causing her to wince in pain.

"Hey Hyein," Minji waved, it seemed like she had already gotten used to the new school life.

"What about me?" Hanni asked like a baby with pleading eyes.

"Where? Who's talking?" Minji teased as she faked looking around, finding the short girl.

"Kim Minji is teasing me again!" Hanni huffed as she put on a judgey face in front of Hyein, making the brunette girl laugh wildly.

"Oh there you are!" Minji said, acting surprised as she patted Hanni's head, stroking her long, silky hair and brushing the remaining strain of hair off of her eyes, tucking it behind her ears.

Hanni felt herself getting flustered at Minji's gesture, she was being so attentive and caring towards her lately.

"Anyways," Minji stopped caressing Hanni as she started talking, which made Hanni pout.

Seeing the cute girl pout, Minji sighed and started feeling up Hanni's head again, making the girl moan in satisfaction like a puppy getting belly scratches.

"Anyways, I got your favourite sandwich," Minji said, holding out the piece of bread wrapped neatly in a plastic wrapper.

"Minji!" Hanni jumped for joy as she heard her stomach growl for the food, she was practically drooling just staring at it. 

"I didn't see you in the cafe today, so I just thought you were running late and didn't have time to stop by, so I got you something to eat," Minji explained as she peeled off the plastic wrapper, attempting to feed the girl.

"Minji! You.. didn't... have to!" Hanni said gleefully, talking between every bite she took out of the breakfast Minji was feeding to her, devouring the whole thing within seconds.

"Wow you're really hungry," Minji chuckled as she noticed how big Hanni's bites were, "Next time just give me a text okay? Missing breakfast isn't good for you, especially when you still need to grow."

"Just drop teasing about my height already!" Hanni rolled her eyes but then tugged onto Minji's shoulders lovingly, "But thanks for the breakfast, do you want me to pay you back?"

"Don't worry about it," Minji shook her head.

"You're the best!" Hanni said as she forcefully stretched her hand to yank Minji's face to her head-level, before giving her a kiss on the cheek, leaving Minji shocked and dumbfounded.

"Yuck!" She screamed as she tried to wipe off the red stain on her cheek frantically. "That's disgusting!"

"That's why I'm going to do it more," Hanni winked, but feeling kind of bittersweet when she saw Minji didn't like her kiss.

"Ooo, love birds," Hyein teased before she returned to her seat as class was going to start.
