"Bye Minji, see you tomorrow!" Hanni said as she kissed Minji before getting into the taxi and rode home.

Minji waved until Hanni was finally out-of-sight, and then took out the piece of paper the barista has handed her.

In cursive and beautiful handwriting: Hi, I'm the barista, my name's Haerin! I always thought you look cute so I slipped you this piece of paper, call me!

Under the message was her phone number.

Minji hastily typed the number into her contacts, hoping that it will work.

After she saved the number, a profile picture of a cat appeared.

Hi! I'm Minji! Your customer everyday! She texted.

Without another second of waiting, the girl seemed to be anticipating this message forever, as she typed: Hi! I'm Haerin!

Minji smiled: Nice to meet you!

Haerin then texted back, following with a cat emoji: Do you have a girlfriend?

I do, she's the annoying girl you complain about every day! Minji said as her message ended with an emoji with awkward and nervous sweat dripping down.

Haerin smudged her lips as she felt her typing the riskiest text of her life, she was already expecting that Minji would blow her off: So, I kinda like you, ever since you first became my customer. I know you have a girlfriend but can we go out?

Minji thought about it for a while: I have a girlfriend, yes, and Hanni's nothing but great... and cute... but this Haerin girl, she's cute as well, and her eyes, wow her eyes, her laugh is so heavenly as well. And her smile? Her smile makes me melt every time I see it.

Minji then shook her head violently, she couldn't betray Hanni like this, but she also didn't like the idea of rejecting Haerin right now: Tell you what Haerin, let's go somewhere, as friends. Okay?

Haerin obviously didn't like Minji friend-zoning her, but her response wasn't an immediate no, which made her think she had a chance.

Haerin responded: Sure! Sounds good, when?

Minji, feeling a little bit flustered, but guilty on the fact that she felt flustered about a girl that's not Hanni, hesitated if she should continue the conversation, but decided to follow through: How about now? Are you getting off work soon? I'll come by to pick you up.

Haerin just replied with a cat emoji and a thumbs up emoji.

Soon enough, Minji was in her car, waiting for Haerin to get off her shift as she told her driver to park outside of the cafe.
