Faiza wipes her tears as she stared at the emergency room door and anxiously tapped her foot in the ground, Aliyah had fallen down the two stair staircase while Arwa was wheeling her to the living room, and she unfortunately landed with her head slamming into the floor, Arwa at first thought she wasn't wounded but upon noticing that she wasn't moving or waking up she quickly screamed for help alerting Farooq who was in his room, changing into a casual clothing.
They rushed to the hospital as soon as they could and Farooq called Faiza, he didn't know why he had called her, but he knew he needed her support, as his mother was taken into the ER, they all anxiously waited for any news.

Faiza hadn't spoken to him except when she asked what happened, she herself was terrified and prayed for the best, the doctor finally left the ER and sighed, Farooq and both of his wives jumped to their feet as soon as they sighted him, the doctor urged Farooq to go with him to his office but he declined and told him to say whatever he had for them.
"She's in a coma and we don't know when she'd be awake, if you had brought her later than do you, she would've died, but if you had brought her earlier she wouldn't be in the condition she is in now, just hope for the best," he said quite frankly and headed to his office, Farooq's shoulder fell as he held on to the wall for support, he had developed a strong relationship with his mother during the past year and he wasn't ready to lose her again, Faiza didn't know she possessed the ability to cry for someone who had almost ruined her marriage, Arwa too was in tears as she saw her husband having a mental breakdown and her co-wife shedding hot tears, she felt terrible considering the woman fell from her hands, if she were more careful, she would've saved everybody the stress and agony they were going through.

Surprisingly, Farooq never blamed Arwa for what had happened, he just sat on his own and didn't speak a word to neither of them, it was almost like he ignored the fact that she mistakingly dropped his mother, or maybe it was because she was carrying his baby, but nevertheless Arwa was still terrified, she wondered how she would face him if the worse were to happen or if his mother never woke up.

Night time arrived, and Faiza finished with her prayers, she left the women's side of the mosque leaving Arwa behind and headed back to the main building of the hospital, she  entered Aliyah's ward and sat by her side, held her hand, muttered some duas and picked up her things to return home.

She saw Farooq sitting next to Arwa who was trying to get him to show some emotions, "I'm heading back home, I'll be here tomorrow," she said and left immediately without waiting for a reply.

Farooq was fuming when he got home the next day, how dare her, how could she have dared to leave the hospital yesterday when the incident was still fresh, when she knew she wouldn't be able to offer support, why did she even bother answering his call, he was prepared to give her a piece of his mind. Although he was angry at Arwa, irritated at her presence, he felt like the only sane thing to do was to let it out on Faiza, to save himself from the guilt of treating Arwa poorly just while she's pregnant, he slammed the door of the living room when he entered not even minding that he had left Arwa in the car.

Faiza was packing up food for everyone at the hospital but the slamming of the door made her body jerk as she raised her head to see Farooq fuming, he charged towards her and landed a slap on her face, Faiza fell on the ground as she was caught off guard, her jaw dropped as stared at him in shock holding on the her throbbing cheek as he started to yell.

"You dared to leave the hospital yesterday? How dare you! If it were your mother would you have behaved like that? Oh you don't have parents no wonder you don't know what it feels like!" He shouted and started to breath harshly.

Faiza started to cry as Arwa entered the living room, Farooq left for his room in anger and Arwa followed him immediately after picking up the food meant for them on the table.

Faiza sat in her spot for minutes before she stood up and got an ice pack from the freezer, she placed the ice pack on her cheek, wincing as the pain intensified, she sobbed as she checked herself in the mirror, her cheek was red and swollen, she wiped her tears and took a cold bath, applied make-up on her swollen cheek and left for the hospital.

She stayed with Aliyah for hours and prayed for her, she even did her work from there and occasionally looked up at the heart monitor for any signs of recovery, the doctor simply told her Aliyah was much stable and they were only waiting for her to wake up from the coma, Faiza was relieved that Aliyah had gotten better but the most important part was to get her to awake.

Later in the afternoon, Farooq and Arwa showed up in the ER room, Faiza quickly excused herself to give them privacy and head to the mosque to sit for a while, she prayed, ate her afternoon food and finished off her work hours at the mosque before she headed to the hospital, and this time around she made up her mind that she wouldn't leave the hospital.

She had wanted to be a good wife despite all their treatment towards her and cooked for everyone of them, but instead she was rewarded with a throbbing slap to her cheek, it wasn't like she couldn't eat out for a while, all she wanted was to be a nice and diligent wife, but that obviously didn't work, she retuned back to the hospital and they had moved Aliyah from the ER into another ward, she stayed outside of the room since Farooq and Arwa were inside and she wasn't ready to be in the same room with them.
