*Still on flashbackFarooq was getting ready for yet another therapy session, he was rushing because he was already running late and Faiza had informed him of her tight schedule.
He was in front of the bathroom mirror combing his hair when he saw a flash through the mirror, how eyes widened and he quickly reached for his phone, scared to turn his back.
He dialed Faiza's number and his eyes remained fixated on the mirror, again he saw a flash and it was clearer this time around; it was a creature with human like structure, holding an axe with fire burning on its blade, the creature had black eyes and wore dark black cloths, he gave Farooq a sinister smile and hit him on the head with the axe.
"Hello?" Faiza kept repeating until she heard a loud thud, she quickly stood up from her seat alarmed and grabbed Farooq's file, she took note of the address and put a call to the Imam as she rushed out of her office yelling at her co workers to cover for her, she didn't even remember to call her driver, she entered the car and drove at full speed towards the mosque, all while she was still trying to speak to Farooq who was still not answering.
She picked up the Imam from the mosque and explained everything to him in a hurry as they both headed towards Farooq's home, and soon enough, they were there.
The sight she met with was a disturbing one that made her body shiver in fear, never in her years of being a therapist and attending to many severely mentally ill people had she ever encountered something like this.
Faiza was glad she had brought the imam along with her, she would've died from the sight if she were to come alone, and out of fear, she stood very far away from him as the Imam neared him carefully.
Farooq was seated on the bathroom floor, rigid in his posture and with a static facial expression. He raised up his head from the ground and looked straight into Faiza's eyes, thier and eyes met and gazes locked, he narrowed his eyes and gave her a sinister smirk.
Faiza gasped and felt her knees weakened as fell onto the ground immediately, her breathing hitched and she was unsure if it was appropriate to breath or not.
The imam, quite bravely managed to drag Farooq away from the bathroom and place him on a nearby sofa, Farooq's eyes had left Faiza's and the Imam asked her to go to a nearby room to stabilize herself.
She picked up herself and rushed into the first room in sight, she locked herself inside and shut her eyes as she tried to get the memory away from her head, she opened her eyes and looked around her as she started to feel anxious and paranoid.
She was aware people with catatonic schizophrenia often experience catalepsy seizures but witnessing it first hand was no joke. The sight of him alone had almost gotten her crazy, she wondered how it would feel like to be in his shoes.
She could hear the imam's voice loud and clear as he recited ruqya on Farooq, then a few minutes later, the imam's knocked on the room door and asked for Farooq's medications.
Faiza rushed to the drawer and opened it, she picked up the medications and opened the door to give the Imam.
She locked the door behind her and sat on the floor trying to get the memory of what had happened away from her head.
And after what felt like eternity, the Imam came to knock on the door again to inform her that Farooq was already stable, she voiced out a croaked "Okay," as she mentally prepared to meet him again.
Her heart was hammering against her chest and she reluctantly opened the door and took her steps as slow as she could ever be.
Indeed he was stabilized, he appeared to be worn out from the stress as he was lying tiredly on the couch, but at the same time he kept looking around and breathing like a normal human being. She sighed out of exhaustion and sat away from him, the Imam had offered to keep Farooq at the mosque for a few days since he would also be there though out for itkaaf.
Faiza soon left for her house after a while and as she laid on her bed, she couldn't sleep although she was sleepy, she couldn't remember the last time she was badly affected by a trauma from a patient.
And unlike what people think, therapists are humans too and they also need to be monitored and watched to prevent them from going crazy.
Faiza was convinced she was almost going crazy.
