"I think I'm having Shake Shack withdrawals!" Caden whines as he leans back in his chair and aimlessly flips through the menu.
"Nah, bud. I think your having female interaction withdrawals." Ford chuckles.
"You have two perfect females right in front of you!" Soph exclaims hitting Caden's shoulder with the back of her hand.
"My babies!" He replies pulling us both into him and hugging us uncontrollably. Soph and I giggle as Caden let's us both go and helps us back in the seats we nearly fell out of.
"Ugh, my hair, Tanner!" I complain combing through it with my fingers and tucking it behind my ears.
Kai nudges my shoulder and nods towards his wrist. "Here." He insists signaling towards the hair tie on his wrist. I smile and take it off but hesitate to use it.
"How many girls have borrowed this hair tie, Statler?" I tease.
"Just you, Renna." He insists. I smile at the gesture, though my eyes immediately shoot across the table once I feel Jack's stare against my skin
I throw my hair up in a messy ponytail and grab a menu off the table.
"What looks good?" Kai asks grabbing my menu and holding it in front of our faces, shielding us from the rest of the table.
"Kai!" I whisper laughing.
"What? I'm just looking at the menu!" He replies sarcastically. Our faces are a few inches apart and I'm pretty sure I could sit next to him like this all day and count every individual freckle that decorates his tan skin.
"When will we be able to do this, just me and you?" He asks more quietly this time.
"Hmm let me see-" Before I can answer Kai, water floods across the table and onto my lap. Soaking my entire top and shorts.
"Shit. I'm so sorry." Jack mumbles picking up the spilled glass cup off the table.
"Here Aug, let me help," Kai insists going to grab napkins.
"No really it's okay." I murmur standing up and rushing to the nearest bathroom.
"I feel like shit. I'm going to go make sure everything's good." I confide to the group. Ford and Caden nod and I go to get up from the table when Soph pulls me back down by my collar.
"What a coincidence. Hm?" She whispers cautiously. I meet her stare and as hard as I try to fight it, the tiniest grin hits the corner of my mouth.
"Never saw Jack Cameron as the jealous type." Soph whispers again giggling.
"She does things to me." I mumble in response before standing back up and going to find August.
I head to the indoor portion of the restaurant and locate the women's restroom towards the back of the building.
