I'm just sitting on the grass at the top of the mountain, looking at the towering walls surrounding the huge castle of Keimusho Academy. The entire town of Quilak is not even half the size of that castle. But all I can see are the tops of the towers.

I sighed. I wonder how Renz is doing. He hasn't come home yet. It's almost midnight, but he still hasn't returned. I'm getting sleepy, where could Renz be? I've been trying to find him since earlier, but I really can't locate him. I lay down on the grass and looked up at the sky. There were many stars shining brightly tonight, as if waving at me. But what's strange is that the moon seems to be missing. I stood up to look for the moon, but I couldn't see it anywhere.

"Wency! Salem, Vince! Come out here, quick!" I called out to my friends.

"Why?" Wency rubbed her eyes while still half-asleep.

"The moon! Why is there no moon? And look, there are so many stars!"
Salem cursed under her breath and I saw the fear on Wency's face. Then Vince suddenly ran off.

What's happening? Why do they seem so uneasy?

"Where is Vince going?" I asked Salem. Salem is usually calm, but now something seems to be bothering her. She's restless and has been pacing back and forth while biting her finger. It appeared as though she was contemplating her next move.

"We just need to do something. You stay here, Eveline. Watch over the sleeping kids. We'll be back soon." Salem said as she pulled Wency, who was still in a daze.
What's happening? Why are they acting like this? I can't seem to calm down and I feel so worried. I don't know what's going on!

As I was feeling anxious, Renz suddenly appeared in front of me, panting heavily. He looked like he had just been running hard, as both his hands were still propped up on his knees as he tried to catch his breath.

"Wh-.. Where are they?" he asked between breaths.

"They suddenly left. I don't know where they went or what's happening. And you? Why did you only come---?" I didn't finish what I was saying when he suddenly disappeared from my sight. He became invisible again! And he left me!

It seems like they all know what's happening, and I'm the only one who's clueless here. I feel like I'm an outcast!

After a while, Wency and Salem arrived carrying medicinal plants.

"What are those for?" I asked in wonder.

"Uh.. This is nothing. Are the children still sleeping?" Wency stuttered. They're hiding something from me. I just nodded, then suddenly Vince arrived flying in the air.

"There's chaos in the town." Vince said as he landed on the ground. Chaos? What kind of chaos?

"Hey, have you found Renz?" Salem asked. Why isn't she smoking now? There's only one meaning to this. They have a big problem!

"No, I haven't. Do you have a plan?" Vince asked.

"This is all I can think of." Salem showed the medicinal plants she was holding.

"I hope this will work." Wency's voice was filled with anxiety.
I'm getting annoyed. I feel like I've become invisible. They're not acknowledging me. They didn't even give me a glance!

I was about to speak when Renz suddenly appeared in front of us.

"Where did you guys go? I've been looking for you!" He said panting, propping his hands on his knees and struggling to catch his breath.

"YOU were the one Vince was looking for earlier!" Salem retorted, punching Renz on the arm.

"Where were you?" Vince asked.
