The next day, I was late again for my Endurance class. Uh-oh. This was the lecturer who loved using the word PAINFUL.

They had already started training when I suddenly entered the training ground, catching their attention.

"Oopss, my new favorite student is here..." I shuddered at her words. She said those words as if I'm a new dish, waiting to be tasted.

"C'mhere." I furrowed my brows at what she said. "I SAID. COME. HERE."

I was afraid to approach her, but I still followed her command.

"Now, release your demon." She commanded, and I followed. She was a bit surprised when she saw Emerald.

"A dragon," she said in disbelief.

"Obviously," I replied, raising my right eyebrow.

"Do you know that there are two types of cursed beings? There are Ordinary and Extraordinary. Ordinary Cursed are those who have demons that are in the form of different kinds of animals, things, or natural phenomena. Such as snakes or birds, chair or clock, clouds or fogs, and many more. While the Extraordinary cursed are those who have... DRAGONS. Same as yours, but yours is quite different from the others. Because he's a DRAGON'S SHADOW."

Ordinary and Extraordinary?

There's such a thing as cursed beings? I think I just found out about it.

I nodded slowly.

"Alright, let's start with your training." I looked around at my classmates, and they hurriedly left the training ground.

"Where are they going?" I asked.

"Let them be. They're done with their individual training. What you should focus on now is yourself..." our crazy lecturer said with a meaningful tone.

I was confused. Why was I the only one left in here?

After a while, she suddenly threw something at me, which I couldn't avoid because it was too fast.

"Arrrgg.." I groaned as a knife pierced my leg. It turned out that she had thrown a knife at me.

"Now, you have to endure that pain... For 180 minutes." The lecturer said with a smile as she looked at her wristwatch.

After a few moments, she put a ring on Emerald's finger.

"Don't interfere," I heard her say to Emerald.

"What did she make you wear?" I asked Emerald because I saw him struggling to move.

"A chain. Can't you see it? She tied my whole body using a chain," he replied, sounding bored.

"I don't see it, Emerald. I can only see the ring."

Emerald cursed, "Illusion. You need to get up! She's deceiving you."

But I didn't hear what Emerald said. Suddenly, he disappeared from my sight and I found myself in a different place...

Darkness. I couldn't see anything except for the overwhelming darkness around me. I felt a burning sensation in my leg. It felt like someone stepped on it? It was so painful. I held my leg and felt a thick liquid oozing out of it. Blood.

I crawled in the darkness, feeling my way around... Until someone brutally pulled out the knife from my leg, causing me to scream loudly.

"Arrrrggg..." I groaned in pain.

After a while, I felt a liquid dripping onto my leg, and every time it touched my wound, it burned. It was so painful... What was that? I tried to cover my wound with my hands to stop the liquid from flowing, but it was still very painful. Someone grabbed my hands, and I screamed in pain as they kicked my wound. After a while, the surroundings suddenly brightened, and I thought my suffering was over, but I didn't expect what I saw.
