Emerald and I decided to land on the ground to observe the intense battle between the seven Elites. My attention was immediately drawn to Denise and her actions.

Curiosity got the better of me, and I couldn't help but wonder aloud, "What is she doing?"

As I watched Denise laughed while her opponent writhed in pain. However, it seemed like Denise wasn't physically engaging with her opponent. They were at a distance from each other, yet Denise's laughter echoed through the air, contrasting with her opponent's cries of agony.

"Denise has the ability to tap into past events and create illusions. She's tormenting her opponent by forcing her to relive her darkest moments." Emerald said and the revelation sent a chill down my spine, as it reminded me of a similar traumatic experience I had during my training, where my past was used against me. It was an experience I never wanted to endure again.

As Denise slowly approached the girl, a twisted delight was evident on her face. Without hesitation, she reached the girl and immediately began choking her. The girl struggled, desperately trying to free herself from Denise's grip.

"Suffer! Die! Die!" Denise exclaimed, her voice filled with sadistic glee. In a horrifying act, she snapped the girl's neck, causing her lifeless body to collapse to the ground. Shockingly, there was no sign of guilt or remorse in Denise's eyes. Her expression only displayed an excessive and disturbing sense of joy.

Uttering the words under my breath, I couldn't help but express my disdain, "Heartless."

Turning my attention to the girl named Diane, whose name was prominently displayed on her clothing, I realized that each student had their respective names on their attire. It served as a morbid means of identification for the fallen combatants.

I couldn't ignore the peculiar nature of Diane's demon, which appeared as a wheel with seven distinct choices: reverse, freeze, control, attract, suffer, sensor, and safe. Perplexed, I questioned Emerald, "What does this 'wheel of fortune' mean?"

Emerald clarified, "That is the power bestowed upon her by her demon. When facing an opponent, the wheel must be spun, and depending on where it lands, Diane gains access to a specific ability of her enemy. Reverse allows her to utilize her opponent's restricted power-attack. Freeze immobilizes her opponent temporarily. Control enables her to manipulate her enemy's demon. Attract prevents her enemy from attacking, but its effectiveness is limited and gender-specific, only working against male opponents. Suffer inflicts severe pain and suffering upon her enemy for a short duration. Sensor grants her the ability to manipulate her opponent's senses, inducing either intense pain or pleasure. Finally, when the wheel lands on safe, her opponent is protected, and she cannot harm them."

As I didn't fully comprehend Emerald's statement, I directed my focus towards Diane's fight instead.

"Spin it," Diane said with a twisted smile to her female opponent, a hint of anticipation in her voice. The woman reluctantly obeyed, her eyes filled with concern. She spun the wheel of Diane's demon, and the arrow landed on the word "ATTRACT" in the center.

Diane's demon briefly illuminated and spoke, "Not Effective."

Disappointment flickered across Diane's face, quickly replaced by a disturbing eagerness.

The woman couldn't help but laugh, summoning ice from her polar bear demon and aiming it at Diane's leg. The sharp ice pierced through Diane's flesh, causing a surge of pain, but instead of wincing, Diane's eyes gleamed with a mix of pleasure and madness. She seemed utterly enthralled by the violence unfolding.
