Kyle's POV
"Shit, jump! Jump, I said! JUMP!" Eveline angrily shouted through our telepathic connection. Wait, was she referring to me? Why? What could be the problem? Whatever, I jumped anyway.

"SHIT, STORM, I said JUMP!" she shouted in a panicked tone. It wasn't me after all. I felt embarrassed. What was going on? It was difficult enough to make Storm follow orders. He never listened to anyone except...

"Damn it, I said JUMP! You idiot! I'm your LEADER, so listen to me! JUMP NOW!" I heard Eveline shouting again. What the heck is going on?

"Hey Storm? What are you doing?" I asked him in amazement, but I got no response.

"MOVE AWAY FROM THERE--" She didn't finish what she was saying when suddenly, I heard an explosion. It didn't come from our station, but from the telepathic connection. It was Eveline! Without hesitation, I quickly removed my blindfold and rushed out of the station towards Eveline's location. The bright sun and the scorching desert heat hit me as I stepped out of the station. The sand was hot and burning my feet, but I ignored the pain as I ran towards where Eveline was. My heart was pounding in my chest, and I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins. I had to get to her as fast as I could.

"What the heck?"

I saw Eveline lying unconscious and covered in blood, with a black shadow surrounding her body. What the heck was that? I immediately tried to lift her, but her body was so hot that I had to let her go. The chain of my Demon, which I had ordered to carry her, started to melt under the intense heat, making it impossible to bring her to the medic room. I tried to hold her again, but her body was too hot to touch. I furrowed my brow, feeling helpless and unsure of what to do next when suddenly, I saw Storm approaching. Without a word, he gently lifted Eveline from my grasp and carried her carefully. He headed straight to the medic room, and I followed closely behind.

I had spent almost a year searching for her and was shocked to find her in the messy town of Quilak. I had been tasked to protect her, but I didn't know she had been thrown into such a place. Protecting her didn't mean that I had feelings for her or anythinglike that. There was only one person that I wished to be with, but it was impossible for me to have her. I sat beside Eveline's bed as she slept, and the Nurse Mage had already left, leaving just the two of us in the Medic Room. I noticed that her wounds were slowly healing, and I couldn't help but wonder why the Headmaster had sent her to this Academy. Did Shadow know something about Eveline's past? I sighed in frustration, knowing that I wouldn't get the answers by simply asking myself. ("Please... Protect her...") I pulled my hair in frustration and stood up from my chair.

Feeling angry and frustrated, I stormed out of the Medic Room and made my way to the office of the little demon. Without knocking, I barged into the room and glared at him, my fists clenched in anger.

"What is the meaning of this?" I demanded, my voice low and menacing. The demon flinched at my tone, clearly taken aback by my sudden entrance.

"What are you doing here?" he shouted.

I pivoted to face the little demon, my anger and frustration boiling over. In one swift motion, I forcefully closed the door behind me and lunged towards him, delivering a powerful punch to his face. The impact of my blow sent him tumbling backwards, causing him to collide with a nearby cabinet, which rattled loudly. The demon slumped to the ground, disoriented and dazed from the force of the blow.

"If you ever pull a stunt like that again, I swear I'll make you regret it!" I said, my anger boiling over as I kicked the little demon in the stomach.

"I'm serious! I'm not happy with what you did. Eveline almost died because of your foolishness," I continued, my voice laced with frustration.
